While the S&C rumor might be true, your on field evidence is a little shaky...we miss plenty of tackles in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd qtrs too.....

 

Yep, and there seems to be more information coming out about this. Maybe these fired employees were right all along. If so, I wonder if they told Napier about this before all of this mess comes out.

I believe Savage (our former S&C coach) is working for Lane at Ole Miss... not much chance he leaves that job.

Need more information, but I think we'll be looking for a new S&C before spring training starts.

TOS is all over this, but still vague on the details.

 

If player leadership is lacking then coaching leadership is lacking.

 

How about UT 2023?
Big part of UF's problem was resolved when DB coach left. IMO, which is not that humble, that was where many winnable games were lost. Had nothing to do with S&C, special teams, or play calling. 4th and 17.

 

Sounds like there will be changes....just don't expect anything to happen quickly.

No doubt, the only S&C coach we've had since that even compared was Marriotti.

 

Though no connection that is the same relationship as the master and the student

Tony McCoy. He was a force on the field AND in the old SouthEndZone Strength Complex. Donnie Young took the relay baton from him when he completed his eligibility.

Good! Needs to happen. Mark Hocke didn't get it done in 2 years. Look at Big Dez. Yes, he (Hocke) knows S and C, I get it. Been at Bama, TAMU, etc. But....he didn't reach our players, for whatever reason. Results business, and we got none out of Hocke.

 

At least we know Billy sees the problem and is willing to take action.

 

For sure, we kicked UTKnoxville's a-- in 1H, but let's face it, we held on for dear life in 2H and bled the clock with some help from refs. We all saw it. Many of us were there.

 

There is no money to pay the buyout of a S&C coach? WOW! CBN will be the coach at the START of 2025! Also, there is money to hire a new S&C coach? How?

 

One would think S&C is the one coaching area that is really easy to measure how they are doing. It may not necessarily play out on the field, but 40 times, strength metrics, weight, body fat, etc are mostly easy to measure over time.

We'll see how it plays out.

 

That second half was better than trying a double reverse play to "generate" more points.
