I could never work in this industry. You spend time evaluating and developing a relationship, get a commitment from a player, to only have a school come in and slide a number across the table. Outside of a couple guys, just know this, these guys don’t care about the university. Only about $$$.

 

It will be ugly until they all have professional agents. Then it will get uglier.

 

This is absurd. The NIL scheme has empowered 18-22 year old boys (research has shown this group has the decision making ability of someone who is clinically insane) and now they dictate how the game will be played.

I'd really like to talk to the alum that write these checks. What the heck are they thinking?

 

Then why are we still trying to do things the old way? Why do we insist on “winning with class?” That concept died with NIL. We can lose with class, or we can make the commitment to winning.

Is it really worth spending time re-recruiting players that have already committed? College football is a Portal Game where you let someone like Saban or Kirby coach up a player and get them as sophomores. If they back out due to money, they have no relationships with the coaches, which means they will be in the portal in a year.
