Me, too. I think he needs to be found guilty as a condition precedent to disqualification. I cannot grasp the concept of self-executing disqualification when there’s no finding of guilt.

No. The Court specifically addressed this and said he cannot be on the ballot and his name cannot be counted even as a write-in candidate. He is disqualified.

Wow ok so you want to claim Trump led it but yet there is zero evidence of it.

I only care what's real or not.

Did he not give a speech that day before people stormed the capital?
In that speech did he not tell people to peacefully make their voices heard?
As the attack was happening, did he not beg and urge everyone to stop attacking police officers?

So he both wanted people to be and act peaceful AND also take over the government by force.
    Ok got it.

You cannot possibly make the credible claim that there is “zero evidence” Trump incited the insurrection/riot/Capitol trespass/tourist trap or whatever name fits your narrative. There is mountains of evidence. You can ignore the evidence, you can discard the evidence, you can even think the evidence is not credible; but you can’t say with any degree of intellectual integrity that there is “zero evidence.”

Please I am begging show me where he incited it.

He can't both ask people to peacefully go to the capital AND beg them to not attack the capital police and also incite an insurrection.

You clearly were not watching it...

Seriously the propaganda has controlled so many. Go watch the speech. Analyze the timeline. Do not listen to what the media told you and try being an educated adult that attended the University of Florida without your biased glasses on!

It irks me to this day the BS the media did with trump after Jan 6. That said...they have so many of you believing trump is colluding with russia somehow. Can't make this stuff up!

***I am not voting for trump in the primary but absolutely will in the general if he wins like he it looks like will be the case***

I mean, read the entire speech he gave that fay at noon (discussed, by the way, in the Colorado opinion). Then, travel back the day before and read his speech and tweets. Then, look at the speeches by his henchmen (“trial by combat”). And then look behind the speeches and look to the memos where he knew that he was lying to the people. There is mountains of evidence. My goodness, he is being tried for this in DC.

I’m sure you haven’t followed the January 6 Committee and their investigation. But I would urge you to review the DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE the collected so you could read the internal memos and correspondence by and between Trump and his Team, in their own words. You don’t need to hear them testify, because I suspect you wouldn’t believe anyone who puts Trump in a negative light. But just read the Trump documents. It’s all publicly available and all easily accessible online by the government.

Just read the documents by and between Trump and his Team. No need to dive deeper and assess credibility by the witnesses. Just look at the memos and correspondence, in their own words, all drafted contemporaneous with the events.

I haven’t read the Opinions, but my gut is to guess the percent chance that SCOTUS affirms Colorado decision is less than 5%.

It irks me to this day that people run to the deepest depths to hide from the truth that Trump is the January 6 villain. He knowingly lied about election fraud. He knowingly led his followers into believing democracy was stolen, when he was the one trying to steal it. It irks me that his followers absolutely remain hell-bent determined to ignore all of the evidence pointing to this clear as day fact.

Liz was #3 in the House and never considered a RINO until she continued to criticize Trump after McCarthy and others flocked back to him and circled the wagons.

I did about an hour ago while posting.

Again, how do you both ask your supporters to peacefully make your voice heard and beg to not attack police officers all the while telling me he was also inciting an insurrection?

Maybe you need to go back and read his speech.

I must be in some kind of backward land because you are trying to tell me someone can do both.

The Jan 6 committee literally had no opposing representation. Not a single one. No one to cross anyone. No one to present evidence against. How in the world is that democracy?

Well, for one, you are thumbing the scale pretty hard on both paraphrases to fit your narrative. He didn't actually say either of those things. Here are some actual direct quotes:

Strangely, his supporters seem to understand what Trump meant with each of those quotes. Meanwhile, why do you think Trump didn't "beg" (to use your word) his supporters to be peaceful for over an hour after the violence started? Was he busy or something?

Everyone has forgotten that on 1/6 the GOP leaders of both the House and Senate blamed Trump for what happened and his lack of response. How we quickly forget
