Dylan Raiola commits to Nebraska: No. 1 QB in 2024 flips from Georgia, becomes program's highest-rated recruit Thats got to hurt Nebraska legacy
And to top it off, when Raiola gets tired of losing, someone will give him more money and he gone from husker land.
I can see him going somewhere other than uga, but he's going to a place that's had 1 winning season in the last 9. Probably at least 40-50 better choices for him. Even home state school Arizona won 9 games this year, and I think their coach was named Coach of the Year. Either unbelievable $$$ or he's a moron, maybe both.
it doesn’t really hurt a program like Georgia nearly as much as it helps Nebraska. Georgia might as well count on any up with a better quarterback anyway.
I watched a lot of his games this year. Give me Lagway! Give me Air Nolan! I am not impressed with Raiola but this is a good move for him. They probably backed up the Brinks truck for him and he'll get to start right away. In 2 years, he can transfer somewhere good with a bunch of experience and make first round $$$. UGA will be just fine. Their 2024 class is filled with top offensive lineman and defensive players. Kirby will find another walk on to win with.
His uncle is on staff there and just got a pretty significant raise a few days before the smoke on this started coming up. Plus they threw out a large NIL package for him, rumored to be double what we were willing to offer. Seems like a decent kid and a good prospect, but him starting all this out of the blue a couple days before he was supposed to move to Athens pretty much soured the fan base on him anyway (the commitment poetry he put out yesterday then sealed it). So for a guy that wasn’t going to be better than 3rd on the depth chart next season, this was for the best.
Much like X leaving us right before signing. No loyalty and you can never count on guys that can be easily bought. Everyone is susceptible to money but you still need some principles and that’s not the way to do it. Cut bait on those types and try to find ones you can count on
I understand him opting for somewhere else, but Nebraska? I've never loved an uncle enough to make me want to go to Nebraska. Don't know if I would've gone there if the love of my life had moved there.
Obviously money. This one sticks out as an extreme NIL example. On the other hand, Athens is a meat grinder. I don't blame a guy for going somewhere with less stress and more appreciation.
Athens or Lincoln, hmmm... Southern beauties or midwest girls. Yeah, that would be difficult. I'm a Gator, have been all of my life, but would still go to Athens before I'd go to Lincoln.
I could not live in Athens or Tallahassee. Or Tuscaloosa, Starkville, Auburn... But I have a history and no one handing me bags or offering to carry my bags.
