So why the slow pace?

If things I'm reading are true, our recruiting class is going to take some more big losses on or before the 12/20 early signing day. A couple of sites are saying that 5-star safety Xavier Filsaime, the 3rd highest rated player in this year's class, is going to flip to Texas; Amaris Williams, DL/Edge who is the 4th highest rated player in the class, is going to flip to Ohio State and Adarius Hayes, LB who is the 8th highest rated player in our class, is visiting Miami this weekend and may flip to the Canes. We've already lost 3 original commits from the class, which at one time was ranked #2 and now sits at #5. Lose those 3 guys above and we'll probably drop out of the Top 10. So far we've only added JUCO DL Brien Taylor with no additional portal transfers, while losing 16 roster players to the portal (so far).

 

According to Twitter, we were also losing Lagway and McCray. So I wouldn’t take anything you read on there very seriously. No one knows anything and they make a living riling up fanbases.

 

What’s the OP pulling? Squid? Deep plugs on downriggers? Bonita plugs? It is wahoo season, i guess.

It was always going to take 3-4 years to turn it around
Missed a short field goal and gave up a 4th an 17 or would have been 7-5. I know we miss it and gave up the long pass still not that far off.
I remember reading posts 2 years ago, very few had us 10-2 in 2nd year. The 3rd year should show good progress like Norvell had.
If not might be time to look around I think we need 8 wins to show we have the right coach.
If 5-7 or 6-6 I will be worried but not now

To go from a class ranked #3 to in the teens within a span of a month, loss of multiple players to the transfer portal and only one JUCO transfer added…how do you even explain that to the fan base?

 

Maybe... but our offense will still be freaking badazz, IMHO... if we land the right O-lineman. then freak all those punks that left our team.

Classes, lose players, and we will gain some other players. All the big schools are losing players. Also, we are not alone. Napier will get us some portal players and we will get another couple players added to this class. They’re probably pretty good also out of high school. I can revisit this in a few weeks and see where our roster really stands
