Throw in his demands for $2 mil to leave the job, and you have peak 2023 GOP.

No one's looking to illegalize homosexuality.

It ain't hypocrisy to not seek to promote behavior you know to be harmful.

Eg-no one's looking to outlaw smoking...and it ain't hypocritical for smokers not to promote the virtues of smoking.

Y'all's hang up with pubs and LQBTQRS... is only a matter if the GOP not promoting homosexualityespecially not to kids, or through marriage.

In terms of legality, a Gallup poll in 2021 found the number of Americans who don't think it should be legal at about one in five. Although that's not a very high number, there of signs of public perception shifting.

    LGBTQ+ Rights

A different poll from this year reportedly found that support for same sex couples is falling.

Americans are becoming less accepting of same-sex relationships, poll shows

The number of Americans supporting same-sex relationships has dropped from 71 to 64 percent compared to one year ago, with more people thinking it is not morally acceptable, according to a new Gallup poll—a change driven mostly by Republicans.

    ****

It found that Americans were less supportive of a number of issues related to sexuality and relationships, including birth control—with 88 percent of Americans finding it morally acceptable this year compared to 92 percent in 2022—and divorce, support for which dropped from 81 to 78 percent.

The fall in the number of Americans who think that gay and lesbian relationships are morally acceptable—down seven percentage points—was the most significant in the entire list of issues on which Gallup questioned respondents.

No one is questioning the corruption here.
    That seems clear. Pandering morons.

But post #17 seems to shoot down the assault claim. (A honest fair minded liberal posted that btw, not me)

it certainly does after reading it, but it still stands that she is the one that accused.

    But seemingly a false accusation.
    Thats my point.

Ride them out on a rail for hypocrisy (political and religious) and pandering (political and religious).

Dont gove them a red cent.

    They are disgusting humans.

But that doesnt mean the assault charge is just of fair.

As far as I can tell, he has not been charged with any crime. Not sure if the Republicans calling for his resignation at this stage are doing so based upon what he's admitted or this woman's accusation against him. Trump was literally found liable for sexual abuse and he's not facing any pressure to step aside (even from his rivals). That's a stark contrast. The fact that Ziegler's wife is also being pressured to resign makes me think the calls are less about the sexual battery allegation and more about the implied bisexuality part of the story.

Yep, and both have refused to resign at this point. Have to think it's just a matter of time tho. Pubs can't have this story hanging around for long.

Well they suspended him... or took away his power. I soon will have another GOP sexual pervert to add to my sex crime conviction list of GOP leaders.

Florida Republican leaders vote to strip authority from party chairman accused of rape

The Republican Party of Florida on Sunday voted to functionally strip all power from current Chairman Christian Ziegler, who is under criminal investigation for allegations of sexual assault, including rape.

The vote came during an emergency meeting of the Florida GOP’s state executive committee in Orlando, a gathering that was called as the Sarasota Police Department investigates allegations Ziegler raped a woman in early October in her Sarasota apartment.

Ziegler did not respond to a request seeking comment. He has not been formally charged and has denied any wrongdoing.

The party leaders voted to make Ziegler’s salary $1 and strip him of most of his power as chairman, transferring that authority to current Vice Chair Evan Power. The party was unable to vote to oust Ziegler during the Sunday meeting, but plans on doing so formally next month.

I doubt he will be added to your conviction list, but the pervert part is a given at this point.

I don't think it will become available until trial!

In my jurisprudence, The Zieglers and their ex have a fundamental right to privacy, so I don't want to see it anyway.

(Unless, of course, Bridget want to bring it to Le domaine du Grincheux with one of her friends:devil:).

Agreed, though it would be overreach to say that the tape he provided is fully exculpatory. That’s why I used the qualifier “tends to”. Sexual assault that vitiates consent is, I hope we have learned, more complex. Plenty of scenarios whereby that snippet, as described, is not inconsistent with sexual assault, including hints in some of the description. Best to let it play out.
