If they can't tell the difference between 6'6 and 6.0., or between curly hair and straight hair, then they need to find someone else.
Well, it’s always fun to see a good player elevate her game to very very good player, and that’s what we see with Maddie Skinner, the OH from Texas. Her attack angles, her BR attacking, and her service game between the 12’-16’ lines is so epic. She also did this vs Wisconsin and service to their NPOY gal. Kudos to Jerrod Elliott for his coaching. Nebraska has no seniors and that shows. Wife not happy

Ummmm, Harper played poorly as did the BR of Nebraska. UT took their fight out of them with the service game.
That’s all we agree on? That’s no bueno. Nebraska had no seniors as well…. and with three freshman starters, it showed.
One of the ongoing discussions this season was the service game and cost/benefit of beimg aggression. Texas did a good job of illustrating how a strong service game can blitz even a good team. Texas definitely earned it today. Pretty much everything went their way.
National runner-up is failed leadership??!! That's a pretty high bar. Hopefully you were kidding. By your standards, I guess Mary Wise has failed leadership as well. Crazy! I simply thought that Texas just served lights out in large stretches of sets 2 & 3 after a very tight set 1. Give their veterans credit for dominating play - no slam at Nebraska. They had a great year.
Texas' service aces and the many other serves that were close to aces but got Nebraska so out of rhythm that Texas won the point was, to me, the key factor in the game. They had 12 aces and 8 service errors today. For the season, however, Texas had 196 aces to 247 errors. Florida had 178 aces and 323 service errors. To go after aces you need to be as close to even with errors as you can get. Nearly double the errors to aces is going to hurt your game more than help.
This championship match is unreal. After coming back in the first set, Texas has dominated Nebraska. So many aces by Texas-Asjia O'Neal had 4 in a row.
And Texas is back to back champs, which means they returned experienced players-including seniors which means a lot. You just can’t beat experience…touches, stress, playing through injuries with experience. Comment about Beason earlier..I’ll just say that she was a transfer underclassman who the four time national champion program under John Cook voted a team captain. That tells me plenty and she finished top 3 voting in NPOY. She has nothing to defend herself over.
Beason went from Gators Captain to Gators Traitor to me. We will never agree on how I feel about her leaving. I said it before, so I'll say it again, given all things equal on the injury front, I want Kennedy Martin playing for UF 100% of the time in the same position Beason played for UF and UNL. UF is blessed to have this outstanding player for another 3 years. I'm happy UNL lost, and Beason personally came up short. I would have been rooting for any team not named UNL in the final and as I did throughout the season. Unfortunately, the Kiddie Corps of UNL's outstanding 2023 class along with Beason didn't allow me to have much fun with my rooting until the national championship final match. I enjoyed every second of Texas completely dominating the corns.
