He was a great player. Maybe not a great coach. I think he's only there to get his kids into the league. He'll be gone after that.

Let’s see…
-He got rid of pretty much the entire team that was there.
-he brought in people that he pretty much hand picked from the portal.
-he won a couple games early and the media and quick to judge people loved him.
-he started losing with all those portal players he brought in.
-he blamed the players for the season failing.

Suuuuuuure, let’s bring him here, he’s got such a great thing going on so far!

 

lol come on man, BN took over a much better team. CU was probably the worst team in the P5 when Deion took over.

As far as BN I am basing my opinion on what he has done on the field at UF (premier program), in recruiting, in the portal, and coaching hires. Sorry but he isn’t attracting the same players to CU as Deion did. And it’s hard to believe he would have taken over a 1 win CU team and won more games than Deion did in year one when his roster would have been a bunch of holdovers or portal ?’s

 

Napier isn’t attracting the same players Dieon is? Name all the better players he’s attracted….and signing day hasn’t happened. So he’s got 1 player that isn’t his sons?

 

I am referring to the portal in year one since the comment was made “he only won 4 games” (completely ignoring he took over a 1 win team with 0 talent) Deion isn’t going to get some top 5 class a few weeks into the job. In this alternate reality, BN takes over CU in 2022 a few weeks before signing day. He has to use the portal to turn things around and win some games. The guys Deion got, are not the guys BN would get. Hell he is struggling to get guys to come to UF, imagine the train wreck that was CU smh

 

Ok, take away the kids that followed Dieon from previous school and the kids Napier had follow him from previous school and tell me who has a better record. You take Hunter and Sanders out of that offense and CU is still a 1 win school more than likely. So really in my eyes, he hasn’t done anything to show me he’s doing any better than any coach let alone Napier. Scroll up to post #66 for more info. He is a TV personality and silver tongue devil. He’s flashy right now but CU is going to be even worse next year.

 

I don't need to read the other posts in this thread, I know it is full of Deion haters who refuse to acknowledge facts when it comes to someone they hate. To each their own. You made it sound as if you were trying to make a logical argument so I responded to your post. Deion also brought Jordan Dominick who was a damn good edge rusher. Also Jimmy Horn Jr and Xavier Weaver who are both very good WRs.

The point is BN would absolutely NOT have attracted players to come to CU last year. Therefore I have serious doubts he would have done any better in year one at CU than Deion did. I think it is pretty logical to assume that considering the two years of evidence we have of BN and how he operates in all aspects of being a HC.

I guess we’ll have to see where CU is next year. End of the day he brought in players and then used their poor play as reason on why they were losing. By that alone I don’t want him here. He’s the coach, it’s his job to coach them up. His mentality is to live in the portal and rely on other people to coach them before he gets them. That’s not a coach in my eyes

 

Nowhere near the experience needed to lead a real Power 5 team.
