Has anyone else been following the soap opera that is HBC Juwan Howard? Apparently, Howard has some Draymond Green in him. Last week, Howard was involved in an incident with strength and conditioning coach Jon Sanderson (and) the two men needed to be separated. In 2022, he hit Wisconsin assistant coach Joe Krabbenhoft in the face during the postgame handshake line, setting off a brawl involving coaches as well as players from both teams. The Athletic reported Wednesday that the university placed a zero-tolerance policy on Howard following his altercation with Krabbenhoft. Howard has yet to return to his full-time role as the team's head coach following a successful heart procedure in September. The scheduled operation was to resect an aortic aneurysm and repair an aortic valve, conditions identified during a routine medical check earlier in the offseason. Michigan's Howard out and about despite rumors
Michigan is battle-tested, playing the likes of Texas Tech, Indiana, Oregon, and Iowa (only win was @ Iowa, but they lost by only three to IU/OR). Neutral site game. Here are some data for comparison. Team.....pts.....ptsa.....FG%.....3pt%.....rbd.....stl.....kenp.....massey FL..........82.3....72.8.....45.4......32.1........44.5....7.3....35.........49 MI..........82.1....76.9.....49.3......37.1.......37.5.....4.8....41.........58 They shoot better, we rebound better. They have played a tougher schedule to date. I suspect this will be a tough game and one in which Kugel cannot disappear if the Gators are to have a chance at winning. Clayton must do a better job taking care of the ball. One additional advantage for the Gators is that Michigan plays on Saturday and we do not. We will be coming in with 5 days rest and they will have only 3.
This will be a tough game. Michigan always, always has a lot of talent on the roster. We'll need solid play by everyone, and no careless turnovers.
Totally agree...Michigan appears to be the tougher team. But for some crazy reason, ESPN's matchup predictor says we have a 59%-41% chance of winning. I'll have what they're having.
I think this is an important game since we lost to WF. We have no important wins. I predicted to get to the NCAA's we needed to win 10 of our non-conference games. We are 7-3 now. I don't have the confidence in having a great record is the SEC right now especially with our free throw %.
Q1 game for them, so one of the bigger games on their schedule, Q2 for UF. Their play will likely reflect my opinion of their coach - antagonistic & rule-bending. It's a game that might depend on the officials. We really need this to hopefully get to 10-3 before conference play.
Hmm... since the Gators are better in 6 of 8 of those categories, those numbers don't lead me to your conclusion.
Excited to see what we get done against the Wolverines. Lurker - Yeah my butt still smarts from that lost Regional Final.
