Is 24 the year for Jean and Mizell??

By the time next season starts we will need to add some 10 and 00 personnel formations to the offense. We will have too many good/great receivers not to take advantage of them on some plays.

We will need an offensive line that can block long enough for the QB to get them the ball.

 

This has been our woe since 2013. If Mertz had an OLine, 2024 could be a really good offensive year.

 

The thought has been that with that much WR talent that we brought in from the 23' class, you are likely to have 1 stud and the rest will be a supporting cast. TWIII is the stud of course, and while it would be amazing if Jean or Mizell breaks out, it is likely only one of those two will have any real contribution next season. I think we bring in at least 1 WR in the portal. Maybe a larger body to replicate what Caleb Douglas was supposed to be.

Agree on the lanky Portal WR. If we had the 2023 version of Ike and Reidel, we would have seen them on the field this past season.

 

That they didn’t break out last season may be a sign that we should temper our expectations.

 

Agree. If the speed or talent was there like with TWIII, they would have gotten more reps. Hopefully one of them can be a real deep ball threat... allowing Tre to run around underneath. I really think us not forcing the ball deep last season really crippled us on offense.
