Not an enjoyable or confidence inspiring game.

 

Wow, ECU has a good defense. Really took us out of our game.

 

We showed some grit. This was a pesky, underrated team

 

I think there's still a lot to be excited about. When we put it together, we're good. Sometimes you win ugly.

 

Exciting game to watch, but Kugel was a no show, free throw shooting was horrible and way too many turnovers. This team has too much talent to play this poorly. Dominated the boards and still barely won. But they won. Whew!

 

We lose that game with our old rebounding. That's the only thing keeping us in games. We're even rebounding missed free throws.

 

Their defense actually stinks from a metrics standpoint.

Just happy to get out of there with the win.

I won't complain after a win.

 

Now. Do I make the 1.5 hour drive to Charlotte to watch us play? I'm 0-2 in that damn place with our loss to Oklahoma last year and Virginia this year. Maybe I should stay away.

 

FWIW, ECU is much better than their KenPom ranking. They also took Mississippi State down to the wire in their last game.

 

You know, I just don't understand +/-. Here's ours for tonight. Kugel at 8, Clayton at -3?

 

Almost beat Carolina last weekend as well.

 

Like Mark Wise said at the end, Tyrese's offensive rebound was the play of the game. HUGE.

 

15-28 from the FT. Sheesh.

 

It seems like the team can’t find a balance between playing fast/getting up quick shots and taking care of the ball.

Some them should start shooting free throws underhand at this point. Can’t get any worse.

 

Where do you see the +/-? It doesn't show for me.

 

It was good tonight. But we helped it with sloppy, careless passing and ballhandling.

 

So much for analytics.
