I like him. Speaking what you think should be mandatory. Or...... maybe not! ;-)

All the while the team and coaches are probably thinking - if only we had better fan and supporters. Except for the programs that are paying players.

Is this still the thread for chatting about a possible OC? Or did I come to the wrong place? Lol

Fans are the only ones contriving oc possibilities. Zero factual information coming out of UF that an oc is being considered. It’s a long discussion of nothing pretty much.

Doubt BN hires an OC. That would mean Sale either changes his title or leaves for another job. As of today, I don't see that happening. Which is crazy, let someone oversee the offense, add in wrinkles/new ideas, but still defer to you in big moments. Or stop him from calling double reverse passes when the run game is chewing up yards.

In this day and age it is probably unwise to look past the upcoming year (or maybe even just this week).

I believe their contracts are up in January and there hasn't been any news of extension? Could be wrong on that.

Let the coach who is overseeing the worst unit on the team run the offense...that would be priceless.

I'm not sure what you are saying. I think Sale or the other coach might be gone because their contracts run out in January and we haven't heard about extensions. Could be waiting till after ESD?

Chris Doering said in one of the podcasts last week that Willy Korn would be on staff in January

I don't think you'll ever see Napier let go of play-calling responsibilities. After all, that's what he did when we hired him, with pretty good success at the previous level. Whether that is good for us here or not is obviously very debatable. But, I have to say, I'm not sure he will change that part of the equation. If he's going to go down, he's going to go down with himself at the helm taking what he thinks is his best swing at it. I feel like he will be open to changing everything but that. This year should tell us a lot about his future.

It’s literally one or two plays each game that’s the difference. Blame it on Napier’s tight play calling or our talent level or depth, but we aren’t good enough yet to where we win going away.

We definitely whiffed recruiting LBs the last few years and the portal transfers we brought in did not pan out. That was a glaring area of concern.

I would say the exact opposite, he should defer to someone else on staff for big moments.
