If he keeps losing or winning is all that matters. He won’t keep his job nor be fired by a bunch of talk.

We're the third largest state in the nation with 4-5 major media markets. This has nothing to do with it. The difference is an alum base that literally cares about nothing other than Alabama football, no pro teams to compete with, etc. The collective money is mostly coming from alums/boosters and being dressed up as personal services contracts when in fact it's just payments to sign/play.

Please...it happens all the time. AD makes public statement of support. That is usually followed pretty closely by that particular coach's firing. So maybe we shouldn't want that to happen in our case.

Haven’t got very far into this thread but wanted to ask you how you know that UF has more NIL money than FSU? I read theirs is at 27 million. Don’t know if it’s true or not.

Any site that claims to know is speculating, and probably total BS to sell subs or advertising.

You may be right. The info comes from a Nole who has been honest from past posts. I hope he’s wrong.

Well I know for a fact that a head coach in my hometown turned his NIL budget into his team's collective. He asked double from last year. A client of mine is heavily involved in NIL for the school.

If you make a statement like that, you are confirming that it needed to be said.

Exactly. That’s why we don’t want them saying it. It looks suspicious and dumb. You only say it when the coach is on the hot seat.

Was that a line item budget with recruit names next to each dollar amount? :D

I'm not saying he didn't read it on some site somewhere and repeat it. The site is what is posting garbage speculation.

Well, I guess you could ask the collectives, but they are private institutions with no obligation to disclose it. Additionally, they are not the whole market as individuals and business are free to make NIL deals directly with athletes. Basically the answer to your question is unknowable, because no one is under any obligation to make these private business dealings public. That is why these NIL "value listing" are hot garbage....they don't really know outside of what a few athletes might have told them (and they might have lied).

For some reason, there are a lot of people thinking his job is in danger. It seems what has happened already was to be expected and it’s right on schedule

They are just hypothetical numbers to gauge the value of the player on the open market as compared to other players.

  16. Keep believing that and watch our recruits bail.

Have no idea what you even mean by this? What are you questioning? That Alabama fans care more or that the collective money is coming from boosters for the purpose of buying players? And how TF does any of that affect recruits?

Oh, and Dude. Tuscaloosa isn't exactly NYC.

This sucks... and the people responsible will be held accountable by everyone else... especially by the long time season ticket holders that lose their seats.

Whoever is driving this "upgrade" is selling some serious snake oil about revenues generated by these changes. I smell a rat, I mean a jaguar, somewhere behind this.

  20. I guess I will try one more time. Which school gets the best recruits, Alabama or Florida. Does not matter if the school is in Yulee or New York City. Where do they stand for putting players in the NFL?
