When one opened here a few years ago those jobs filled up pretty quickly.

QT also pays well. But the employees are really efficient and work hard also. If you pay $3-$5 more per hour more than market for these lower end jobs you get a hell of a lot more productivity and happier customers. Probably pays for itself.

From the title of the thread I thought the reference was to USPS not UPS workers.

He went after fast food restaurant workers earlier. There is some element of insecurity at play here.

They only cry when Pubs in non-union jobs earn that kind of wage.

I know of no one who thinks they are overpaid.

As a general rule, stop being mad about hardworking Americans possibly making too much money. If you want to be mad about something, be mad at executive pay.

If you weren't a USPS employee, you'd be ragging on what USPS employees get paid too, because that's just what you do.

Not when you take into account parcel size cost. If I had a business like the USPS, I'd make Musk look like a welfare case. There's reason why USPS rates are so high compared to USPS/FedEx. But watch UPS/FedEx rates over the next year, I would not be surprised to see them almost doubling.

Yes, because by law the USPS HAS to have a delivery system for every address in America. You you doesn't? UPS and FEDEX. You know who they subcontract to? The USPS.

Let UPS and FEDEX pay to put in all of the infrastructure to truly have to compete with the USPS and see where those costs go.

it would surprise you how much last mile amazon, ups, fed ex we at USPS deliver, why, it is not cost effective for them, but we by law must deliver to every address.
