Exactly. On3 sometimes lists individuals like Ruiz from Miami alongside the collectives. There are rather inconsistent in this regard. On3 is one of many data points, but they are the easiest to find.
Those NIL #'s are nothing more than a fantasy. That college football fanboys pay money to view that kind of drivel is kinda sad.
The numbers aren’t accurate. They don’t even imply that they are. They’re just made up. You don’t have to be a Ruiz to make moves without the collective either. I know of a hobby shop and at least one car dealership in gainesville that have cut deals directly with the players. Are they on this list you have so much faith in? I doubt either of them are discussing their payouts with the douchepickles at on3.
I know I know! Because at Dollar General you can buy 100 rolls of sand paper toilet paper and at Neiman Marcus you can only get 10 rolls of velvet toilet paper for the same money.
At some point, players will be making more than their position coaches. I like Lane Kiffen’s idea that all teams should be limited to spending the same amount of money, although that would be hard to enforce.
Just read that FSU’s NIL is at 27 million. It’s on mud lizards site which is free to read. Don’t know if it’s true just that if so FSU will not be going away. That’s a lot of money to buy players with. Anyone know if it’s legit or close to legit? Bueller, Bueller, Anyone?
No one knows shit but if you ratio it out to compare to nfl, a qb costs more than that. 30 mil isn’t a big number compared to what college football generates.
Because we are having to go through this whole charade that the teams aren't spending the money at all. Its the prospects NIL that is generating the funding (what a joke).
Pretty soon none of these kids will even go to the NFL. The NFL won't have the budget. Besides, they'll be wealthy and might still be able to put together complete sentences due to reduced head trauma. NIL is so outta whack. If the NCAA had some, that's right, balls, they'd step in and put a governor on this. They're probably scared of how they'd look adjusting income on the underprivileged, I assume. I guess we'll see how this plays out. Anyway, I sure hope we can snag us some top kids that want to be Gators and are ready to ball-out. Go Gators- beat everyone.
The NIL free-for-all came about due a SCOTUS ruling. NCAA cannot regulate any of it, it's up to the states.
