Yes I am actually. The payment to Joe was not made to an S-Corp. It it was made to Joe. So whatever you are trying to say here is totally irrelevant. You need to stop for your own credibility. Thank you.

Okay Mr. Professional, can you deposit an individual check into a personally held S-corp? If you were to do so, how would you report that income?

Your point is exactly right!!!! There is no documentation of charging interest, just like there is no documentation there was a loan!!!
It took a minute, but it looks like you are coming around.
Everyone defended Joe that he didn't talk with Hunter about business. Then pictures, phone calls and evidence of conversation, meals, etc., with Hunter and business associates, ok he talked to him and lied to us. NO LAWS BROKE
Then no influence, as VP, ole crackboy flew all around the world with daddy on AF2, to see his business associates. Nothing unethical there. NO LAW BROKE
China never paid any of the Biden's, low and behold here comes bank records of payments, well he wasn't in office! NO LAW BROKE
Joe never received anything! Well here comes those pesky bank records again where Joe received payments. Oh, those were loan repayments, zero documentation! NO LAW BROKE.

I realize it is hard for you leftist to admit, but looks like, walks like, smells like, Joe loves smells, eventually you'll realize it's a con!! And POS in office now is no more or less ethical then the one that is supposedly going to end democracy!!!

Even conceding for the sake of argument that Joe Biden should have reported imputed interest on the loan there is still absolutely no evidence that he received any type of quid pro quo. The most logical explanation is still that Joe Biden loaned the money to his brother because James needed the cash and that he repaid it after receiving the payment(s) from the Chinese businessman. If you could provide evidence of an actual benefit that Joe provided to the Chinese businessman it would be greatly appreciated. In fact, if you could provide any evidence that Joe Biden ever communicated even indirectly through a James, Hunter or another third party with the Chinese businessman it would be appreciated since as far as I could determine it never happened. And Hunter's reference to "the big guy" is not sufficient. Rather than indicative of corruption on the part of Joe it's more indicative of an attempt to scam the businessman by Hunter.

The goalposts have been shifted out of the stadium. Now we're talking about imputed interest on a personal loan to a family member?

Allowing Hunter to scam the businessman is corruption.......and don't try to sell it as Joe didn't know, Joe was surrounded by the scamming and corruption.

Corruption is generally considered providing a benefit to a politician or other government official in exchange for some type of special treatment. Although Hunter's attempt to create the illusion that he could influence his father was definitely sleazy and unethical it wasn't corruption on the part of Joe Biden. Once again show me that Joe Biden provided any benefit to the Chinese businessman or even knew that Hunter was scamming him. So far I have yet to see any substantive evidence that Joe Biden influenced policy or performed any substantive act on behalf of the businessman and I seriously doubt that there is any such evidence.

It sure would NOT be S-Corp interest income of $11K passed out to Joe on a K-1 and reportable on Joe's return as coming from the S-Corp which is what you are trying to say. You are so uninformed on these matters it is difficult to even reply seriously. What does depositing personal money into an S-Corp remotely have anything to do with this discussion? The answer of how to report on books of S-Corp is impossible to answer given no information as to the reason for the deposit. Is it a capital contribution? Is it a shareholder loan? Is it for services provided by the S-Corp to Joe? Is it for tax evasion and money laundering? Please stop.

So I guess what you're trying to say is... "there was no quid pro quo."

Okay, so you have no idea whether it is on his tax forms due to a lack of knowledge about the particular circumstances and are just trying to cover it by insulting somebody for showing that fact. Perhaps, if you are going to use your expertise, it would be best to only do that in instances where you have sufficient knowledge to actually know what happened. Thanks for playing your role.

You showed NOTHING. Please stop for your own benefit. I never claimed it was or wasn't on sniffy Joe's return. I simply said there is an interest element which should be reported in reply to those who were trying to say there was no reporting in relation to the zero interest loan repayment. I know you do not understand but it is that simple.

There was evidence of a quid pro quo with Ukraine though. The Trump administration froze the aid and only unfroze it when it became untenable.

Wow. What the Republicans in Congress have been unable to do in years, this tax professional has been able to blow the lid off of in a single thread. Possible unreported imputed interest on a family loan! Get to DC stat.....Comer and Greene need you, your country needs you.

That is decidedly not what happened as you made several claims about how this would be reported without proper knowledge about the circumstances of the loan (see posts 55 and 61, where you made claims about how it would be reported and how the loan was repaid). I appreciate that you are backing off of those claims. Regardless, your claims as to how he would report it were made without proper knowledge of the situation.

There probably was here too, we just don't know exactly what it was.

I don't believe the Chinese were giving the Bidens money because they're nice or stupid.

Why did the nice Chinese award 18 patents to Ivanka? Why did the even nicer Saudis invest $2,000,000,000 (that's a lot of zeros) with Kushner?

In other words… it’s irrelevant. The dollar amount of interest on this loan is so small it would likely be under the threshold of gift reporting anyway, and even if it were above the gift reporting threshold (or he gave $10’s of thousands elsewhere) it still wouldn’t actually matter in any practical sense. Not even relevant to old Joe’s taxes, unless he were to gift his son greater than $12 million or whatever the lifetime max is at this point. The only possible relevance is tracking towards that lifetime max.

This “imputed interest” idea is a helluva hill to die on. Talk about getting lost in the weeds.

If it was truly, quid pro quo, and they unfroze when it became "untenable", what did Trump receive.

And speaking of Jared Kushner let's not forget Qatar's bailout of the Kushner Organization and unlike Hunter and Joe Biden in 2017 when Biden was completely out of the government Jared was perhaps the closest advisor to his father-in-law when Trump held the presidency.
