Not news about Israel, but about Iran-sponsored terrorism in the middle east. Iran-backed militants in Iraq are firing missiles at U.S. troops across the border in Syria from a missile-launch vehicle disguised as a civilian fuel truck.

Leaked audio of heated meeting reveals hostages’ fury at Netanyahu | CNN

Based on these leaked recordings it sounds like Bibi is catching some major shit. Sounds like a lot of the hostages are at risk from the shelling the IDF is doing.

Netanyahu responded: “No bullsh*t. What I’m saying here are clear facts. I respect you too much. I heard your heartbreak. We couldn’t release everyone at once. The price they want is not prisoners. The price they want is not only the prisoners.

I'm curious what Hamas is asking for beyond the release of their prisoners.

IDF kills at least 9 family members of CNN producer.

    https://thehill.com/media/4341423-israel-gaza-cnn-producers-relatives-killed/

Dahman’s uncle, his uncle’s wife, their daughter and two grandchildren, along with his aunt, her husband and their two children were among those killed, according to CNN. At least two others remain in critical condition, while more relatives are buried under the rubble.

CNN reported Dahman’s uncle relocated with his family to his sister’s house two days prior to the strikes, after bombing ramped up around his home in Sheik Zayed in northern Gaza.

The Committee to Protect Journalists (CJP) reported Monday that at least 61 journalists and media workers are among the thousands killed in the conflict. The CJP said it is also investigating several unconfirmed reports of other journalists being killed, missing, detained, injured or threatened along with damage to media offices and journalists’ homes.

Exclusive: Biden's plan for Gaza wins Palestinian backing
The Palestinian Authority is prepared to take back full control of the Gaza Strip as soon as the war between Israel and Hamas is over and is willing to hold its first national elections since 2006 as part of a broader long-term peace deal, a senior Palestinian official told Newsweek.

The tunnels have generators for light and AC, some connected to solar panels. I read they have been disconnected.
Also doors inside that may be water tight?

I’d pull up a bunch of cars and run hoses from the tailpipes and gas those bastards.

Russia declares it a war crime for Israel to flood out terrorists from the Hamas tunnels. The Russian diplomat did not specify how it compares to all of the war crimes that Russia has been committing in Ukraine, such as blowing up a dam in Kherson and drowning dozens of innocent people.

Russia warns Israel that Hamas tunnel plan would amount to 'war crime' if pursued

An interesting article on the effect of Qatari donations to Gaza on the attack. Netanyahu decided to allow Qatar to send money into Gaza to see if he could keep Palestinians happy and prevent any more violence. It was hundreds of millions of dollars per year. It didn't work out. Hamas spent a fair amount of the money smuggling weapons into Gaza.

Obviously, what we can conclude from this is that the Palestinians were not dirt poor. They apparently were highly corrupt and largely controlled by Hamas. And they were not interested in living peacefully with their newfound wealth as neighbors to Israel--they wanted to eliminate Israel. May be stating the obvious, but it takes away some of the Palestinian narrative of repression by Israel.

I think this explains more than most people on the Leftists really want to explore with honest debate.

This touches on what is going on in Gaza and in Israel, and how the many "intellectuals" and students in universities here in the U.S. seem to feel sympathy for the terrorists that attacked the Jewish people of Israel.

I was thinking more for using religion as a cynical political calculation to wish harm on others. Especially Jews, god’s chosen people and whatnot.

I don't necessarily think that its sympathy for terrorists that drives the response. They are responding to video feeds of bad things happening, and to a lesser extent, whatever happens last (most recently) matters most. Hamas struck without warning, so there is little video feed of what was happening. There is much more video feed of what Israel is doing to Palestine than what Hamas did to Israel, and it is more recent. Students also respond to the volume of what they hear (the relative number of statements and videos). There are 456 million Arabs on earth upset about Israel's response. There are only 16 million Jewish people on earth (1/28th). Since it did not happen to them, the students cannot react viscerally, so they try to apply some logical process to understand it, and I suspect that this is what that process is. Also, they like a good tale of repression, even if it is largely false.
