Relationships don't matter all the time, just ask recent decommits or players like Princeley who enter the portal. $$$ or winning could Trump relationship with staff. I don't particularly think Lagway is that way, but with other potentially flipping away to other schools you never know.

 

Like I said, if he would flip it would be to a Texas school, particularly A&M . UgA would just go after another QB. And let's not act Like teams haven't been already coming hard at Lagway, offering him everything under the sun.
I think stays solid. Can't see him wavering now after being a rock thru 7 losses on the season.

It's the sort of thing everyone is always going to have to worry about. Big checks! Especially at the final hours. Soon enough, logos, environment and relationships will mean little when compared with BIG CHECKS. Next year cfb will look more like the NFL with professional agents handling negotiations. Early deals will not be in a player's best interest.

I watched several Buford games this year and I don't know why he is ranked so high.

He is slow as death. He cannot get away from high school defensive lineman.

He does have great arm strength and can sling it with a flick of the wrist but he has terrible fundamentals. He throws off his back foot a lot and rarely steps into his throws. He throws a good long ball and short passes but anything in between 15-30 yards is a hit or miss.

He went to a loaded Buford team and had weak competition (their schedule was like the ACC).

He's no Lagway.

 

And they'll just grab a top transfer if needed. They will just plug and play like they have been along with bama

Jess Simpson who btw was on campus Sunday (supposedly has not been offered the DL job but I also heard counter reports his hire was supposed to been announced today) but he spent 22 years at Buford HS won 10 state titles. 7 of them in the 10 years he was the head coach. It would have to be all about the money because A&M has had as many 10 win seasons as the Kansas Jayhawks have over the last 15-20 years or so and just lost a huge amount of elite talent that they invested mightily in. They are not in a much better place than we are. Imo.
