Ah, the golden days when we were guffawing at LSU for hiring Kelly.

 

THBC just attended his record 46th consecutive HT ceremony. It was a virtual ceremony in 2020, so no one was able to attend. He is a bona fide college football treasure. Last year they even allowed him to announce the winner, and he did it in typical Spurrier style.

 

I was on campus when Spurrier won the Heisman. The news broke on radio that day (there was no ESPN or prime time TV show back then), and I heard him say in a radio interview, "This is an honor I'll never remember. I mean forget!"

 

Without a doubt!

 

Perhaps we could get a miniature replica for our trophy case....
