This 6’10” big man from Kansas State looked to be the best big man this season on a really good Kansas State team. In last season’s NCAA tournament, he had 4 consecutive double figures games against Montana State, Kentucky, Michigan State and FAU, respectively. This season, he was arrested for disturbing the peace for an altercation at a local sports bar. He has been dismissed from the Kansas State team and has entered the transfer portal. He is graduating in a few days and will be immediately eligible wherever he goes. I’m not saying that we should go after him, but we have an opening, and this kid is a big-time big man.
I am pretty sure that he would be one of the two best big men on our team along with Samuel. My guess is that he is going to end up on a potential NCAA tournament team. My only hesitation is that I don’t know exactly what he did that made Kansas State dismiss him from its team. It likely was more than the disorderly conduct behavior.
I didn’t think it mattered. I didn’t know you could transfer mid season and be eligible for that season. I knew graduates did not have to wait for the portal windows to enter, but didn’t know they could suit up for a different team mid season. Couldn’t find a rule that explained it either, but I’ll take your word for it.
Georgetown, Kansas, Miami, Providence, West Virginia and Oregon have been mentioned as potential destinations.
Feels like an old WVU and Huggins kind of guy. I don't see him coming to UF this late in the process and for mop up duty.
I wouldn't be thrilled about pursuing a guy with NBA talent that K-State showed the door so quickly. Very few teams benefit from bad apples.
Alex Karras actually participated in TWO professional "sports". Everyone knows football. What is the other "sport"?
To qualify it it has to be "professional wrestling". Free style and Greco-Roman wrestling are legit sports.
