Boycott? No such action is required IMO. Apathy amongst fans of most programs will do the job just fine.

If they don't fix the portal or NIL, I envision a day when players will look like NASCAR drivers with logos all over their jersey.

I dropped the NFL many moons ago. I’ll watch the superbowl if I don’t have something else to do.

Without wins and soon, there will be empty seats no matter how nice the stadium looks. Fans can only take so much plus with the price of tickets and all, people will just stay home imo.

College football, as we know it, is gone. Who can figure out the new set up will dominate.
I don’t think the schools should be involved in this BS.

The schools that most suspected were paying big bucks pre nil seemed to miraculously hit the ground running without skipping a beat when it became legal.

Rereading it I see what you mean but I was intending to say you can transfer 1 time but you will sit for the next year unless your a grad transfer of your coach was fired.

What are ya'll bitching about, just was gonna let a few Tebow like studs sell a few tee shirts for pizza money!

Here we are, in an unregulated capitalistic enterprise with no central authority, open to the highest bidding boosters.

This is what the destruction of amateur athletics look like. Brought to you by media power brokers, agents, University President's, the unscrupulous and the greedy.

I see thread posts bitching about kids (Transfers) being unloyal or not being Gators? LMAO.

What the hell did you expect?
BTW Mertz is going to make far more coming back to UF than Shane Matthew's did in any of his 14 years in the NFL.

And ya'll think UF is suffering in the transfer portal? Vandy is at 17, tamu ain't far behind.

When we lost amateur football we lost any concept of players having "Gator Loyalty", pine away all you want, but those days ARE OVER!

It's all about deep pockets now, you want UF to win? Cash in part of that 401K and send it to the collective.

    Enjoy the new Era.

I love the Gators for over 70 years they have been my team I detest the transfer portal it ruins teams. It is a constant rebuild of teams. College football is now pro football. I hate pro football it is a money grab and that is what college football will become. A money grab.

It's been a money grab for 50 years. The universities and the NCAA have been soaking up the ever increasing TV deals, the ever increasing apparel sponsorship deals, the bigger bowl payouts and the larger booster donations etc. coaches have been soaking up the ever increasing salaries and golden buyouts. You just hate that the money and decision making now has trickled down to the players.

it already is a money grab. I sat on the 30 for the Tennessee game this year. Prices are ridiculous

My support is waning daily. It’s not Bidenomics that closed up my wallet, but the environment of the NIL and the transfer portal. The last straw for me is kids opting out of bowl games to try and go make even more money. I so resent this, the same fans that are being asked to pony up $$$ are being cheated out of the rewards of a bowl game victory.

I think as we stop paying attention on TV that 50 to 75,000,000 they collect from the TV will not be re-upped by ESPN when the time comes I think they are slowly losing fans and it will continue.

You’re talking about second hand prices though. You didn’t buy tickets from the uaa, did you? Single game tickets for that area are in the $100 ish range, i believe.

Yes and I think they were 125 or 150 but once you add in the booster fees that required it’s right up there with what I had to pay. and you can’t get those tickets with the lowest booster fees

That is supposing that the general population, who is looking for something to keep them entertained, will tune out unilaterally. And yes, this is no different than my way. It takes conviction and no one shows they are going to move in that direction is sufficient number to move the needle.

You don’t have to pay a booster fee for single game tickets. The seats you’re getting are likely mostly sold out during season ticket sales though. Just saying, those high secondary market prices you’re paying, the school isn’t reaping the benefits of.

I have a feeling the fans of current ranked teams have no interest in boycotting.
