All good questions. Perhaps they are single season agreements and only for regular season. Otherwise, they'd be contractually obligated.

Who here has ever bought anything other than a jersey which was advertised by using a current UF player's name, image, or likeness?

  4. Small market areas aka Gainesville cannot compete with the big boys. What national markets are known here? Sonny's? They are not coming here to promote car dealerships. They want national recognition like Bryce Young, Dr. Pepper, Heisman ads, etc.

Have gatorade direct our royalties to NIL and sign up anyone we send their direction. Cool idea, but never gonna happen.

Gatorade can’t unilaterally change the agreement. Neither can UF. Gatorade could alter its advertising to focus on UF athletes, but then they lose the 90% or more of the non-Gator fans

It wasn’t really a serious suggestion.

Was thinking after the F$U game in which the Swamp was filled to capacity, as it was for other games this season. “ Let’s spend $400 mil and reduce seating capacity.” Yeah, that sounds like a good idea to reduce the home field advantage. Great decision, shesh!

This! NIL funding is 100% voluntary and with all of the discussion, for the life of me, I can't understand everyone can't understand that. UF does not control NIL per the rules. If you believe that the UF NIL is under funded, then you are part of the problem, pony up or shut up.

It is a great idea. College game attendance is dwindling nationwide. Educate yourself. Other Universities are doing the same thing.

Contrary to what the un-educated think, our games are only "sold out" with tickets, not with butts in the seats.

The UAA is trying to reduce seats, but add more comfortable seats, suites and other amenities to attract fans back to the stadium. A lot of people would rather watch on TV than sit on a shitty bleacher seat wedged in between fatsos.

    Get with the program. Sheesh.

Lot of fsu fans there for that game. A lot on the alumni side too, so our fans gave them a bunch of their seats.

Totally clueless, and yet they post, over and over again.

Doering was correct about Gator fans.

We would need high caliber players to be in those ads...

It seems like we were in the Top 5 or 6 in the country with seating capacity in the 1990s. We've dropped to 11th since then. Does Strickland really want us to keep falling down the list? SMH.

Several places increased their capacity. There is no inexpensive way to do it at BHG. And they are planning to decrease seats to meet code and upgrade seating with the remodel.

Did any of the places that increased capacity already have a complete bowl? Most of the increased capacity reno’s I’ve seen involved closing in open sections of the stadium and still dramatically increased premium seating.

I don't know specifics but didn't Michigan, Tennessee and Texas A&M push their seating above 100,000 in the last decade.

Not necessarily. To do the renovation they will have to bring the stadium up to current code

    Codes have changed.

Don’t know about the other two, but tamu didn’t have a bowl, and they definitely added a bunch of premium seating during their reno. They also almost completely demolished the entire existing stadium.
