Interesting, I’ve been saying the same thing and here are the results. Losing record and losing good players. Moves slow with everything. Getting players on field, off field, hiring coaches, offering players, recruiting players. Ryland Powell- 9 sacks Braun- All Sec - again and there were excuses made as to why he left. Princely McClellan Etienne
Like the E ticket ride reference, but 155 mph hurricane winds in your living room with you is a better example of an E ticket ride. Definitely Spurs one to action. Wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Do wish we could see evidence on the part of the Gator football program that they have been spurred into action. Waiting to know what kind of condition our roster will be in for spring practice is worse to me than it was waiting for that damn Hurricane Micheal to hit. I am disappointed in ETN. Wish he had all us Gators in his heart like we had him in ours. Even if he were to decide to stick it out with us I will remain disappointed… but I could perhaps forgive.
I’d say her use of “RB2” says it all. ETN must feel as if he’s under Montrell on the depth chart. I certainly don’t blame him. I sincerely hope he finds the opportunity he’s looking for.
But we know they don’t so it makes no sense to fantasize about it. Not exactly a ringing endorsement of HC1, huh?
I guess he wants to be the “featured back” without split carries? Or is that just a false pretext to bail? No doubt the carries should have tilted more in his favor. I think most saw him as the more explosive back, esp against SEC competition. Yet, the stats aren’t THAT different in terms of yards per attempt. Seems like not a great reason, with most teams preferring a RB plattoon approach if they can get it. Even if Etienne is the superior talent, split carries keeps RB’s fresh.
I certainly don’t disagree with you. I saw them both as RB1-A and RB1-B. At the end of the day, we’re all speculating. But the fact does remain that football has moved towards a RB by committee over the last decade.
Agreed, Why would any college rb want to carry the load? RBs have a short shelf life, and I don’t see why I’d ruin by body without the NFL money first.
