Challenge ends in a 7-7 draw. Arky beat Duke, UGA beat FSU. 2023 ACC/SEC Challenge scores: Duke falls to Arkansas, Georgia beats FSU as leagues' duel ends in tie
SEC had 3 wins last night. ACC had 4. The series ended up a tie.....7-7. Better than losing, I guess.
FWIW.....he's been on the forum for many years and has always supported Florida when it didn't conflict with South Carolina. I took his comment to be tongue in cheek....and not rooting against the Gators. I wouldn't respect him if he didn't root for his team, Gator board or not. Just food for thought......
The way we play on the road, your center Mack will abuse us, get no fouls and our freshmen will foul out if last night is any indication.
No good place to post this, so adding it here. KenPom #35...your Florida Gators. KenPom #60, 5-2 St. John's. Their two losses aren't terrible. But the five wins are...not...quality.
St. John's wins over West Virginia on the road and North Texas and Utah on a neutral court are pretty good wins.
My apologies, certainly WVU was. In fact, I need to retract North Texas, most likely. I doubt Utah has any chance of being a Quad 1 win.
Utah currently is ranked 32 on Ken Pom. They have wins over Wake Forest and St. Mary’s. Are we the only team that hasn’t beaten Wake Forest?
Wake Forest played a perfect game against us with the refs fully committed to helping them with bias. Little wonder they have a high percentage of wins at home. Their last 19 home games 16-3, we made it 17-3. Refs get away without any review, fines or suspensions. I don’t like the challenges except neutral sites and a split set of refs. The refs of the Wake game looked lost on every disputed call. It was embarrassing/frustrating, to see such incompetence.
SC just lost to Clemson, so that makes it something like 8-7 for the ACC. Good! As I said before, screw the SEC. May they all suck the suckiest sucktastic suckitude that ever sucked a sucker.
Well, if you are going to just cherry-pick games that weren't part of the actual ACC/SEC Challenge in order to achieve your desired result, I'll add our games against Pitt and FSU to make it 9-8, SEC.
Didn't think it was cherry-picking, but I like your idea. Let's go full-on and add UF vs. VA which brings us to 9-9. Let us know which other games were missed. To the bigger point, though . . . do you actually root for the other SEC teams in basketball? If yes, is there any other reason that (maybe slightly) bolstering UF's resumé?
As a general rule, I root for the SEC in all sports. I think it’s a huge benefit to the Gators for the SEC to be dominant in as many sports as possible.
