Many UF students are already home for break. Most "finals" have been taken or the work can be turned in online.

 

Are you sure? I looked up the academic calendar and today is the last day of classes and finals start next week.

Pretty soon our punter may be the only guy not in the portal. I cant wait to see kids not want to graduate and take a lesser paycheck from the NFL. How much money will NIL deals eventually get to?

Just because you enter the portal doesnt mean you have to go anywhere. Being in the portal allows you to field NIL offers. He can compare those offers to his projected draft positions value and the likelihood he raises that position

Honestly it's good business sense and youll probably see more players who would've just opted for the draft in the past just trying the portal first. There is no real negative to doing it

Say you're not a surefire top 10 pick but youre late 1st early 2nd. You can make a lot of NIL money and maybe raise your grade. If the offers arent there you can just get drafted in the end anyway

We are probably in the best position if we really want to bid on keeping him but the NIL money is probably better used elsewhere

 

Good point. Him entering the portal made me forget I’d already penciled him in to declare for the draft. He’s definitely a loss, but one we likely should have been planning for.
