Can we get Korn to bring Grayson McCall with him?

McCall would be a one year rental then off to the NFL.
Mertz can redshirt, heal and get some extra practice. Then apply for a medical red shirt. And come back after McCall is gone!
That gives our 5 star recruit 2 years to learn the system and get a little playing time and be ready to rock n roll when he gets his turn!

The program would take off with McCall and never come down!

 

Methinks he will be the selection, or none at all. If Jeff Scott has not been announced by now, that door has closed.

Mertz already used his RS at Whisky and his injury was too late in the season to get a Medical RS.

Two years to grow up and learn! I think that it could be sold!

He would get plenty of playing time after his RS year as we (hopefully) rolled and he would be number one the last 3 years!

And he could even get spot duty next year!

I knew that Mertz had taken an RS at Wisc. but they are pretty lenient on Medical RSs these days! I thought that it would be worth a try! LOL!

 

Don’t need McCall. Mertz in 2024 and Lagway in 2025 is perfect IMO. No elite QB will sit for 2 years in this day and age.

 

Jamie Chatwell, the head coach at Coastal Carolina and Liberty that Korn works under runs a unique offense with a lot of option principles. I do not know if that is what CBN is looking for, though Jalen Hurts practically ran a triple option offense his senior year. Interesting that Gus Malzahn's UCF is on that list as well.

Kids of his caliber aren't waiting 2 years. Look at the portal. He will wait a year a minimum.

Where is Miller going to go? Unless he graduates soon and becomes a grad transfer, he would have to sit out a year.
His other option is to retire from football.

He could be eligible for a medical redshirt.

He is the 3rd scholarship QB.

 

I’d be shocked if he doesn’t get 10-15% of snaps next year as a freshman.

 

Yeah. This would not benefit Mert or Lagway. I don’t see it happening.
