CBS Sports ranks the gators as the third most difficult schedule in the SEC. While Alabama is down at number eight. Why don’t we have a system where the teams that finish the highest the year before end up with the more difficult schedules?
For 2024...if we are number 3, who the hell is #1??? It's the worst regular season schedule I've personally ever seen...for any team.
Although what you propose seems very fair indeed, I don't want too much outside tampering with schedule like what the NFL does. Having said that once the "system" took away the computers rankings every smart AD knew they could game the system with wussyazz schedules. The computers that used the SOS the best were more important, but it only really worked towards the end of the year.
Update. I guess it depends on which reporting agency is making a prediction. 24 seven sports has the gators listed as the number one most difficult schedule.
