This is better than Santa coming down the chimney every night bringing every thing I’ve ever asked for. Their band has stopped playing.
I started at UF in 1963 and have 2 degrees. I have been a Gator fan forever and hope and expect to beat UCF. However, our oldest grandson is a senior at and the equipment manager at UCF. I won’t laugh at them. As the old ad said, “you’ve come a long way.” Go Gators!
They weren't going anyway. Their serious fans will be there watching the humiliation and during bowl week they and uga's fans can commiserate on how unfair it is to them they aren't in the NC game. Maybe the two schools can get together and buy a NC trophy and whoever wins it can declare them the champions. That would even be more pathetic than ucf's nonsense.
I'd take uga sleepwalking thru it in a heartbeat over fsu's QB, whoever he is, leading them to victory.
While I can understand the argument of an undefeated season, the question of whether Alabama playing FSU tomorrow as a play-in to the playoffs would easily be resolved in favor of Alabama. This is a team that limped against our hapless program (which has once again reached a crossroads in its coaching leadership), and looked anemic as a Division 1 program against Louisville which was already a two-loss team.
No it was actually a reference for their championship team...played more no ones than this years team too. Every time the rapist had something else show up there was an excuse...every time their miserable school had another issue it was someone elses fault...every time they got trouble off the field the DA and police would suggest another story...even up to the game against Auburn they were getting smashed and "they were stealing our plays" was brought up. It was an endless bunch of excuses...glad to know the moniker still holds true today.
If they were to do that, they'd never be invited again, and they'd be a bigger laughingstock than they already are. They aren't going to boycott. Too much money on the line.
Yep good idea. Refuse a bowl bid, lose millions of dollars, fifteen extra practices, and what little respect you have on a national level. Please, please, please boycott.
Bobby Bowden: "They did invite us to join the SEC. The ACC was better for us. It would have been hard wading through that SEC. Too many good teams in there, boy. Oh, gosh."
