Did our poor record keep f$u out?

I'd like to think the Gators had some role in the Noles getting the screws. Remember the Swindle in the Swamp??

 

I think their body of work kept them out...

 

I think the committee seeing their backup QB, playing a very bad defense, struggle probably played some role.

The biggest thing though is their poor SOS.

 

I think the ACC and Big 12 are both weak conferences overall. The main difference is that UTx won against Bama. FSU does not have that kind of win...AND their main offensive weapon is not going to play.

And Texas blew out Oklahoma State instead of struggling.

 

Georgia's SOS is just as bad as FSU's, according to a couple sources. I think that having to play their 3d string QB is what killed the Noles.

 

That and losing to Bama is why UGA is out.

Plain and simple the Noles looked like crap after Travis went out, they barely moved the ball on our hapless D, then squeaked out 16 points on a team that UK put 38 on the week before. The committee made the right call regardless of how jilted parttime fans feel. Being undefeated doesn't guarantee crap. They play in a crap conference by choice.

Go back to 2004 Auburn was undefeated SEC champ an got the snub when OK went to play USCw and got whacked. It happens.
