I’m not sure who would be betting favorites on any of the playoff games now but fsu would be big dogs against all four. That means “ best team.” As far as opinion.
Earl Everett. I think our LBs should watch that video to see what excellent LB play and committment look like.
We don't have a single player who goes out and plays like a mad man with their hair on fire. It shows in the lack of turnovers and big hits. Name one of either from this season without looking it up.
I agree with that, kid has heart. Unlike the rest of the defense. Maybe he will rub off on the new guys. Edit: come on man? That was the most reasonable thing I've written on these boards all season. Jeez
There has to be at least one dissenter. I'm convinced that the role gets doled out in these circumstances. Booger probably drew the short straw.
All true, but their SOS was complete ass, which seriously undermined their claim, and everyone knew that if they got in they would get poured out straightaway without Travis. The committee wanted competitive games with strong fan attendance. FSU offered neither.
The Pate poll has had them at 11 for most of the season and I tend to agree with that model as it's based on who would be favored on a neutral site.
Michigan scored 26 against one of the best Ds in the country. Unfortunately for Iowa, their offense is one of the worst.
You may listen to media pundits, but I remember most of the coaches I heard over that time frame thought UF was deserving. My statement is accurate and enough people at the time thought UF was deserving no matter what Herbstreit and ESPN said about the Big 10 dominance. Time has proven midwest football is overrated.
really? I am pretty sure not a single actually coach in the country would have that same attitude. the head coach would want to, in the least, have an opportunity to play regardless of losing their best player. They would love to have on their coaching resume that they made the playoffs. The school, fans, band, every other coach and player on that team would still love the pomp and circumstance attention and experience of being in the playoffs (which helps them if they ever make it back). The weeks of press. They’re 15 minutes of fame. Not to mention the $ the school gets for simply making it.
