Damn missed it...Did they show their "win and were in" signs? I love Norvell saying they were very confident they were in...Im telling you the voters aren't dumb and saw the ACC officiating crap and laid the law down on their shenanigans. It was obvious and offensive.
That’d be awesome to see the GOAT go out like that and then watch the show as to who is their next hire.
If my team is not truly a power and they lose their Heisman contender QB, I do not want to be in the playoff and get humiliated
They really have no business being in the playoffs this year. Of course, if UF did their part it wouldn't come down to this. Oh, well. Move on to next year.
I think the decision was that most people could see with their eyes, that UF was a better team at the end of the regular season 2006. Same with Bama, if they were scheduled right now, head to head with Texas on a neutral field, bama would be favored (no matter how much we dislike them). They'd be favored over any other team too by the wise guys in Vegas
If the shoe was on our foot and we lost a Heisman-contending QB the game before the last regular season game and all we could do is put a RB in at wild cat, barely averaging 20 pts a game against one of the worst defenses in the country and then a weak offense, 2-loss team in the conference championship game, I'd understand. It sucks, but Dallas in 90s without a healthy Aikman doesn't win a Super Bowl. FSU without Winston doesn't win a title.
They got lucky when they had to face Brown instead of Mertz. They were lucky when Clemson missed a chip-shot fg at the end of regulation, too. Today, their luck ran out.
