Selection committee couldn't look away from the obvious. Great day in Gator country in an otherwise miserable year.
That sure eases the pain of another chitty year for us...a bit anyway. Now it's time for us to start reemerging as a national football power. Time to tighten up the defense we once had and play like champions. Hopefully Lagway performs like Milroe and helps us turn the corner.
Texas is gonna be a force in the sec , they will continue to recruit well. They are recruiting the RB and Qb position as good as anyone.
Good news for us that Texas has come back from mediocrity. I've always said Texas football is a mirror image of UF in so many ways.
Washington will play Texas in the Allstate Sugar Bowl, while Michigan will face Alabama in the Rose Bowl Game Presented by Prudential. Both semifinal games will be played on New Year's Day and aired on ESPN.
I can hear the screams of agony from Clown Town and Athens all the way down here in NSB. Justice and payback for playing a crappy schedule.
Yeah but they will see what a gauntlet being in a real conference is going to be like. Thankfully, with the CFP expansion it will let a 3 loss team make the Top 12.
They won't be able to overcome the schedule. I see this year as a one off for them and expect that they'll be blown out in game 1. Next year doesn't bode well for them or us for that matter. They still have to play OU who they obviously fear on top of the SEC slate.
Oh FSU will encourage it so they have an excuse when getting drummed. Remember Norvell bailing out in the Covid year...its in their blood. Georgia will just insert 15 new 5 stars and just keep plugging. FSU is all seniors and the guys behind them are average at best.
It is an outstanding academic institution, the flagship university of Texas, with a lot of resources and tradition, including a strong football tradition. Austin is also a really cool city. I have been puzzled by why they have struggled in football as of late, just like I am puzzled by why we have struggled.
