I think it's more like if Florida played FSU's schedule they would have gone 10-2. If FSU played our schedule, they would have gone 7-5. That means something.
They struggled mightily with a SEC lower tier team while their championship game competition lost to a lower tier SEC team. No QB and a crappy schedule. Pretty obvious to me.
Better QB play from UF and UL FSU loses both games. Hard to leave out an undefeated conference champion but this is not the same fsu team.
They'll never make it back under Norvell. Travis was dropped in his lap, he doesn't have another one in the chamber.
If we and Miami weren’t terrible and had been considered quality wins for them, they probably would’ve been in. Ironic.
I think they just rewarded the 4 best conference's champs ... ACC was clearly the weakest. Anyone who watched last night's game and saw the best of the what the ACC has to offer would see that they didn't belong this year. Maybe ff their starting QB had been healthy that could have been a 50-10 statement win for them ... but it wasn't...
Remember prospects get paired with players when they do visits and it plays a lot in their decision to commit. I can't wait to see how the recruits react when their player contacts opt out of the bowl game in a stream of announcements before NSD.
Florida State playing in the ACC conference probably had more to do with being left out than Florida's dismal record. Also when a (5-7)-Florida had a 12-0 lead over the supposed #4 team in the country...
