I’m again find myself changing my stance to including Washington. PAC-12 was 2nd best conference and you have a team who beat Oregon twice. They have to be included. 1. Michigan 2. Washington 3. Texas 4. Alabama

Rewards conference winners while also trying to keep the four best teams in mind.

I would be curious how the BCS ranked the top 4 teams.

Look at post 185, nowhere does it say that looking horrible is a criteria to be used

The ACC is so weak this year And one lost Alabama did just beat Georgia, which is huge. FSU‘s best win came over LSU, who has been beaten three times and that was with Travis.

And they're about to do all those in one season. Potentially haha

But the commissioner Director or whatever he is of the college football playoff was quoted either last night or this morning saying that absolutely the four best teams at the moment are the ones that are supposed to get in. Do you actually think Florida State is one of the four best teams in the country without Travis?

The fact that the power 5 conferences signed on to a 4 team playoff 10 years ago knowing that if all 5 conferences had an undefeated champ one is left out and it still never bit them until the last year of the playoff is kinda wild to think about.

All other criteria that they use is only supposed to be used to determine the four best teams and they are not one of the four best teams. I don’t think they were one of the four best teams even with Travis but having him, I would agree with them getting in

I wonder what the Vegas point spread would be for a Bama-FSU game on a neutral field. Probably close to double digits. Maybe the committee should have a couple of Wiseguys in that room.

Bowden running to the ACC instead of the SEC is biting them in the ass right now. that’s not even really it, they lost Travis, and any hopes they had of beating a good team.

my best bet is that the committee is locked in a room throwing darts at a board right now

I personally don't but the committee uses the criteria to determine the 4 BEST teams.

FSU is a conference champ, undefeated and has shown they can win without Travis.

When they made the rules of how to pick the teams, they knew they were going to have trouble at some point and that’s why they said the four best teams and did not leave any criteria of winning your conference and being undefeated as a guarantee

They have not been a decent team without Travis. They look terrible playing an average team yesterday.

Sure I agree but winning matters first. How you look is a secondary factor down the list.
