So Texas' schedule sucked? Does beating Alabama, the current SEC Champion, by double digits in Tuscaloosa have no meaning at all? Georgia lost, basically a home game, to Alabama. The same team that lost to Texas at home.
There will be some proof (not that it was needed) today of just how the 13 member committee will disregard the ‘best’. Even after they pick their 4, watch how they rank them, they won’t even rank them right. The clowns will be in the #3 slot and not one member will believe they’re actually better than Texas either. This is just an extension of the ridiculous polls. Also remember, it’s not a consensus final 4 from said committee, it’s simply a majority vote of the 13 members, so only 7 is required for each slot.
Texas has the worst loss of all the considered teams. And yes their schedule sucked. They beat Alabama early on because of Milroe’s inexperience.
Love Orlovsky, just made great points as to why FSU should not be in over Alabama. Most of the rest of the ESPN panel and especially Dan Mullen are disagreeing with him and basically laughing at him or at least that’s my take what I see with RG three and Mullen
Let’s hope the committee looks at a major bullet point with regards to criteria and for best teams, and takes it to consideration unavailability with regards to Travis, which is again in writing, and can be considered
Michigan OOC: East Carolina UNLV Bowling Green Washington OOC: Boise State Tulsa Michigan State Joke!
Texas is in before Bama or UGA, they beat Bama at Bama and they dominated that game and they won their conference championship in dominate fashion. The only real debate to me is Bama or FSU. UGA is out, and I can't see any reason to include UGA, they would be the only non champion.
So what you're saying is that a regular season head to head double digit win on the road at Bama doesn't count. By your way of thinking, the regular season doesn't really matter after all. Thank God you weren't part of the decision making in 2006 when the experts thought Michigan should've had a rematch with ohio state instead of us playing them for the NC.
If those other fans of ACC schools they would have nothing to pissed about weak conference nothing exceptional about being the tallest midget
You wouldn’t have to worry about that in your scenario an undefeated SEC champ with a backup or #3 QB is way different than what fsu did this year.
I’ve always been for the four best teams. I doubt Georgia would lose to the top teams either. If they had Travis, sure put em in. This team tgat doesn’t have Travis wouldn’t be undefeated even with their #50 sos. I see no sane argument that says they can beat anyone being considered. I hate Georgia more and they would smoke fsu without Travis. Probably still beat the badly even with Travis. Can you honestly say you believe fsu without Travis even has a chance?
The committee had, however, placed FSU in the top 4 for quite some time. Then they beat #14 and won the ACC. Those are the actual results.
The committee has already said that head to head matters no matter when it occurred during the season. So Texas beating Bama carries weight in any decision.
If the sec team lost their qb going into the sec championship, they would lose because they wouldn’t be playing Louisville.
Arguments for FSU: Undefeated Conference champ. Arguments against FSU: Best wins were against....#13 LSU, #14 Louisville, and a weak ass UF team (hell yeah, we brought their strength of schedule down).
No kidding. Without Travis, who the hell thinks they could have won the sec. They haven’t beat a top 10 team. They haven’t beat a single team that has a win against a top 10 team. Now they don’t have their by far most important player.
