Of course watching the FSU game you gotta think about Travis and when he got injured. The accepted “philosophy” when a top team plays a terrible school is for their top players (including quarterback) to play 1-2 quarters until the lead is large. But why play the top quarterback at all? It’s all risk no reward. Starting a backup may result in a smaller victory, but it’s still a victory. Whoever our starter is shouldn’t play at all against Samford next season. What say you?
Its football, a violent sport. You risk career or season ending injury every time you step on the field.
What if the other team beats you because you didn't play your best player? If you are afraid of injuries, how many of our offensive linemen missed games due to scooter injuries? Do you ban everything because anything can cause injury?
This will likely start happening, players will decide when they play, look at the NC State QB, he played 4 games, decided he was done and is now in the portal.
Travis was in the Heisman talks, might not have been full blown, but he was in the mentioning. Just a game for him to put stats up. I agree with those that if you start picking the games you want to play in,..... you should take up checkers. Football is a rough game, play or don't play....... All teams have large young men that can cause an injury to a player, from a walkon to a 5 star........ GO GATORS!!!!
