Russia has a major victory, using a top-of-the-line Lancet drone to destroy a Ukrainian Sukhoi Su-25 Frogfoot jet on the ground. Only one problem. The jet is clearly a decoy. The drone video does not reveal that until it is only a second or two away from target, and the drone operator either didn't recognize the detail, or could not react fast enough. Russia's military immediately posted the video to demonstrate their prowess, before their military bloggers started recognizing that the details didn't add up.

Score another win for Ukraine's decoy manufacturers.

Russia appeared to waste a Lancet drone on decoy of a Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft, video shows

Russian mothers of soldiers start protesting, claiming that the Kremlin betrayed them and calling Putin a liar. Could be the beginning of the end for Russia in the Ukraine War. Putin will need to have these women killed immediately, and prevent their sons from finding out what happened. They are also offended that Putin has declared 2024 the Year of the Family while making many of their children orphans. No doubt asking women to start cranking out eight children (little soldiers) didn't go too far towards smoothing things over . . .

Putin promised that soldiers conscripted in September of last year would be home within a few months, and they are all still in Ukraine.

The women have not declared Putin's pants to be on fire. That would be the last escalation before complete and open rebellion.

‘Putin betrayed us,’ say wives and mothers of Russian soldiers

So that's what a cold day in hell looks like. I heard it would be a cold day in hell when mothers of Russian troops started protesting against Putin, and now we have confirmation. It's a shame that all of the Russians are dying in Ukraine, or maybe Moscow would have some people in the picture. That's sad. I wonder if other cities are as abandoned as Moscow appears to be. I guess that's what happens in a country where people don't matter. Maybe if the picture captured the upper floors of the building, we could see Vladimir Scroogeski leaning out and tossing a coin to the photographer.

It’s probably colder than that in Helsinki. Meanwhile is “f*ucked up” in Ukraine …

More from the article on mothers protesting Putin: Russia is going to towns around Moscow and rounding up migrant workers to send to war. Police raided a warehouse about ten miles south of Moscow and found ten migrants, and they quickly volunteered them for the war. They sound motivated to fight for another country's illegal war . . . I'm sure the policemen know if they don't bring in their quota of volunteers, they will be conscripted next.

Russian soldiers' wives are also protesting. Putin has responded by paying them off to be quiet, or discrediting them if that doesn't work. No telling how long Putin's bribery cash funds will hold out as his economy disintegrates. The Kremlin has declared the on-line protests to be fake, which hardly explains the efforts to pay off the women.

UK intel describes how Kremlin is trying to suppress protests by wives of Russian military personnel

The protests by wives and mothers of the “disappeared” was what helped bring down Galtieri in Argentina as well. Crowds of women with legitimate grievances are more difficult to suppress openly.

Putin desperately wants to control and exploit Ukraine's $12 trillion in mineral wealth as his economy collapses under the heavy weight of sanctions. Putin's budget includes money to start exploiting Ukraine's mining industry by 2026. It's one of the greatest heists in history, supported (or at least, not opposed) by a minority of dimwitted Americans.

As sanctions bite, Russia eyes Ukraine’s mineral resources to fund its invasion

If true this could be Biden’s off-ramp and a and the salvation for a Ukraine on life support.

More on Russia's ongoing war crimes. They are shooting the few Ukrainians who are surrendering. This should serve as a reminder to Ukraine that surrender is not an option with Russia. They need to fight to the death, because surrender is likely, if not certain, death. Hopefully, the U.S. can increase military aid to Ukraine to make sure that Ukrainian troops do not continue to die from a lack of ammunition.

Video emerges online of Ukrainian soldiers being shot as they surrendered

More details on the technical military training being given to new army recruits. One was tasked with picking up branches as the only training he received (besides firing an assault rifle a few times) before being sent to the front to fight. His salary has tripled from being a factory worker; however, Russia has not paid any of that salary yet. And likely never will, now that he has surrendered to Ukraine.

A Russian who joined the army for the money says his training consisted of tasks like picking up sticks. He was then sent to fight.

U.S. Secretary of Defense says that the outcome of the War in Ukraine will determine the future of global security. This hammers home the damage done by the traitors at Fox News and in Congress that are trying to cut off aid to Ukraine. (Remarkably, some of the same traitors also supported the insurrectionist Donald Trump and his bid to steal the 2020 election, betraying the democracy that our country was built on. How hard can it be to run a campaign against a traitor?)

Outcome of war against Russian invasion ‘will determine global stability,’ says Austin

It's unfathomable isn't it? Absolutely insane that those people would undo all of American strategic foreign policy post WW2, not to mention the blood and treasure spent in that period.

They want to burn the constitution, turn the US into a banana republic and hand the world over to the likes of Putin.
