DeSantis vs Newsome

I thought that I would be interested but I've decided not to watch it

 

Not horrible, but Hannity ought to step up and take control. Says he wants it to 'breath' and be 'organic,' but it's coming off as a bit too 'organic'-- like an argument at a bar.

 

I'm watching. Both are so dislikable. I hope neither has a future in politics. This whole thing seems so pointless. If Desantis had any sense he would not have agreed to a split screen.

 

Substantively it's actually pretty descent, when they're not talking over each other.

Ron is done after his term ends. It appears that as more people got to know him the less likeable he became. The same thing might happen to Gavin if he decides to run in 2028

 

God Hannity can’t control them. Desantis has no good taking points and just panics and calls newsome a liar and newsome himself is just unlikable. They talk over each other incessantly. It’s unwatchable.

 

Nothing has been substantive but I think the biggest burn so far is newsome calling out desantis for being 41 points behind trump lol

 

Newsom just said RD made it "easier for felons to get guns".

BS. Still a felony for a felon to have a gun in Florida.

Newsom also claimed Florida has higher taxes than Cali. Just about funny right there.

GN also said Florida's tax scheme harder on poor folk. FL has no income tax. Tax based mostly on real property ownership.

Substantively, RD > GN.

 

it def seems like Newsome's main motivation is to needle Desantis & make him uncomfortable.

 

Dude both these guys lying and misleading with almost every breath. Newsome has been a bit less obvious about it but Jesus.

 

oh, coulda sworn in a thread 'bout 30 mins ago you were ranting about how we need to go after "chicoms" & seal the border, etc. to address the poisonings from Fentanyl. Why don't we just make having Fentanyl a felony?

 

The debate is state v state. They're not running against each other.

GN is all flash n polish, zero substance. A used car salesman.

RD is a nerd. And winning on substance--that is, making a coherent case defending his record and policies, while GN just trying to divert from his own record. Understandibly.
