I was listening on Gator Radio and heard Golden scream “effing bull….!” but replace effing with the real thing. It was righteous hearing it!
I wish he got a technical much earlier as it could not have gotten worse.

Well we are now 4-3 and just lost to a team that both LSU and Georgia have beaten. Not very good if you ask me. I see a lot of talent on this team, but we can’t seem to put it together which falls on the coach.
Am I wrong that we have adequate talent to be a top 25 team that should get in the tourney comfortably?

Completely agree..the officiating is either incompetent or biased and if you watch the start of the 2nd half with UF up 9 the officials started calling fouls against key players for the Gators to where it was 8 fouls to 2. Every travel called against UF none against Wake or out of bounds that wasn't obvious went to Wake. Hard to believe it was not biased. They are smart enough to have some fouls called on Wake to make the foul totals look fair but as soon as the game got tied or close again they made sure to miss a couple blatant fouls on Wake and get UF for some questionable calls. We all want to believe the games we watch are on the up and up and I believe most are but there are still times when you know deep down something just doesn't seem legit.

I miss those days. I was just thinking how Noah played his ass off each and every night, he would never let his team take a night off. Our basketball team has potential, but if someone doesn’t step up and lead both vocally and by example, we’ll never make it to that next level.

Rishwain should be coming in instead of Aberdeen.
At least he can shoot and pass, something only Riley did tonight. Bad loss, we were not ready mentally, Everyone looks tired. Our coach doesn’t get with the officials which I hate. We will lose all games on the road this year because Todd just wants to be a nice official looking D1 coach. Get on the officials early when they are not calling getting mugged. Just like Mike, a coach in training.
Bad bad loss. The refs did the same thing when we played Butler in Winston Salem.
On a side note, Pullen couldn’t hit the side of a barn tonight, this can’t continue or play the German and Rishwain. We need basketball players that can score every night. Wake has them, I am starting to think we don’t. I don’t like what I saw tonight, bigs just bulling us and guards just mugging us and CTG swigging from a water bottle.
Great coaches would have lost it early and been engaged. starting to think the team is following his casual demeanor, it’s ok team. Errrrrrrrrrggggg…

Most of us thought we could get in judging by our performance thus far. But, after tonight’s game, who knows. We looked lethargic and ill prepared tonight. Many SEC teams will smoke us if we perform like tonight. I think TG is trying to give a few players a chance to earn more playing time; noble, but he needs to decide his top players and let them play. Otherwise, play your entire bench and run and press all game.

We need some tougher, more SEC (or BIG) experienced coaches.
Soft coaches don't finish first and do a disservice to our players.

One more officiating rant...UF ran Wake in the first half and Wake has a short bench...you can tell the last 5 minutes of the half they were tired. Officials know if they start calling more fouls it means more stoppage of time, more trips to the free throw line and slows down the game...big advantage to a team with less depth.

One TG rant...you have to come up with defensive adjustments during the game you can't keep playing the same defense the whole game. Just give a team a different look now and then.

Kugel can get points, but man I see lots of room for improvement that could help the team. Start with the turnovers. Had 4 of them and no assists. He can’t be careless with the ball. Thought the sallis kid had the better game.

We should have run them in the second half. Not a great tactical move that played into their strength, which apparently is a smash mouth half court game with a lot of favorable calls from the refs.

I feel like every time we lose it's the official's fault. Can we just admit that Wake Forest was the better team tonight? Because you know what? They were. They had more FGs, more rebounds, more assists, fewer turnovers, and shot better. They also took fewer three pointers. The stats overall were close, but Wake was better when it counted.

And we still can't seem to get past our dry spells.

Some will say it's an excuse, but we've played only one game (Florida Sate) with all our players available. That's a fact.

Hopefully, we'll come together better as a team, once we have everyone playing.

    Thoughts on the game:

    • Where was our physicality tonite? We’ve been known thus far as being a very physical team, but seems like we settled for too many 3’s tonite. Needed to bang more down low, looked like a prissy finesse Mike White team. I’m sure if Micah was available tonite, things would have looked a little different. When is the big guy coming back anyway?
    • Points in the paint were hard to come by. Condon and Samuel had a few flashes of brilliance, but these plays diminished as the game progressed. Gotta have more points in the paint.
    • Our biggest lead I think was 9pts. Maybe 11pts. Losing then by 11pts is unacceptable. Gotta do better playing with the lead. Mikey White would’ve take the air out of the ball at halftime. Golden is no Mikey White, thank God!
    • Barring injuries, I still see this team going into the sweet 16.
    • We really could’ve used Micah tonite. Wished for Condon and Samuel to be more physical against Carr early to bully him. Fouls on Condon and Samuel didn’t help.
    • That damn yellow WF floor gave me a headache. Anyone else?
    • When does Micah Handlogton return? What is his status?
    • Godspeed Mr Handlogton!
