Norman and Wilson [Will Norman and Kamari Wilson]

Hate to see Will Norman go. I thought that kid would grow into a force on the D line.

 

I’m not sure how he felt about the minutes of his classmates, but I had high hopes for Norman’s future. Sad to see it.

 

Norman might have been a contributor the 2nd half of his career. In 2023, I get why someone in his shoes transfers (his classmates are ahead of him, we have a lot of bodies at DL, and our current class is stacked). Wish he would have stayed, but I get it.

We needed bodies to leave, we weren't going to agree with all of them.

 

I don’t know what happened with Wilson but a reset somewhere else seems to have been preordained. Credit to the staff for not throwing him under the bus.

 

My gut feeling is that some players are voting with their feet. I felt the same last year when basically all the returning OL transferred out.

I hope to be wrong.

 

Remember how giddy we were when Wilson committed ? Turned out to be temporary bragging rights.

 

Worried about norman since he was supposed to be a DT, correct? We need them badly

 

None of his classmates were ahead of him at his position (DT). The only snaps that any True Freshman DLinemen had was at DE. Currently we do have a lot of bodies at DT. Unfortunately they appear to be just bodies with no true difference maker. Its pretty unusual for true Freshmen DT's to get many snaps. They generally need a year in the weight room to get stronger...Brad Culpepper was one exception.

 

Of course we don't know, but at a position of need like DT, we only need true freshman bodies to leave if the staff has already determined that they will never be a contributor here.

 

I think Norman's mother recently passed so that probably had a big part in his decision. Wish him the best.

 

For the love of God can we rename this thread KAMARI Wilson? I almost had a stroke thinking Tre was done

The way we Gator fans are getting trolled, pranked, parodied, and lied to everyday on Twitter and message boards, would not be surprised that someone would prematurely "run with the ball". On3 and 247 the moderators are posting for maximum engagements. They want you to worry that each one of our commitments (scholarship or walk-on) and every one of the current Gator players on roster is in jeopardy of not being part of the program anymore. And nervous Gator fans are apt to believe anything atm. Click, click, click. Then the self-loathing begins- "We don't deserve _____. I understand if he wants to play for a winner. Go be great buddy!" What a bunch of wusses.
