No actually she should have had the good sense to be funny if you are going to be a comedian. It is kind of a prerequisite. Posting a picture of a blooded severed head of anyone is always comical!

When reading this thread as well as all other references to Trump as fascist the fable of "The Boy who Cried Wolf" comes to mind. For those unfamiliar with the story in order to get attention a shepherd boy claimed that his sheep were being attacked by a wolf when in fact there was never a real wolf. When a wolf finally did threaten the sheep the villagers who had previously come to his aid didn't believe. For over the last 50 years going all the back to Barry Goldwater lefties have used the fascist label to describe virtually every Republican presidential candidate with Ford being the possible exception. Now that there really is a candidate who meets almost all of the criteria as a fascist warnings from commentators especially those with a left of center orientation are being dismissed as nothing more than political rhetoric.

I don’t think you are getting the point here. Polls which show Trump winning and/or close to winning are being used to put the fear in the Dems of Trump ending democracy and setting himself up to the world Supreme Leader. ( and to sell tinfoil)

I have absolutely no doubt that the Democrats are using negative polls to raise funds adding that Republicans do the same. It's a standard fund raising strategy. What you were implying in at least one of your previous posts was that pollsters were intentionally skewing their results in favor of Trump to help the Democrats raise cash. In case do not recall your previous statement to that effect

you are incorrect. I implied no such thing. I stated it unequivocally.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt, so you really believe that the polls are being intentionally manipulated to aid the fund raising by the Democrats? Got it.

Excellent summary from Victor Davis Hanson.

Salient content from the tweet for those who can't open it:

Don’t Do Unto Others What We Would Have Done to Them? Once more, it gets even creepier how the projectionist Left is daily still shrieking about impending Trump “revenge” and “rage”, or about Trump’s purported enemies lists to come, or about his planned weaponization of the bureaucracies. .....

.... Should we laugh or cry about the transparent hypocrisy? After all, who tried to wreck an administration with a 22-month-long Russian “collusion” fraud, suppressed a laptop with the lie it was Russian “disinformation”, or impeached a president for a phone call correctly identifying the Biden family’s operation in Ukraine as utterly corrupt and at the expense of U.S. interests? ...

... the IRS by suppressing evidence of Biden family tax fraud? What Lois Lerner, Eric Holder (self-identified as Obama’s “wingman”), and Loretta Lynch left undone was taken up by Merrick Garland.

... How about Anonymous’s confessions about how fellow bureaucrats were trying to undermine and sabotage the operations of the Trump administration from within? ... Who paid Twitter millions to censor the news of political opponents? Who paid foreign national Christopher Steele to peddle a fake dossier to destroy the 2016 Republican candidate? ... and the “51 Intelligence Authorities” laptop scam? Again, the reason the media and politicians are terrified is that they are convinced Trump would do exactly what they would do in his place—and what they would do utterly suddenly horrifies them.

    Emphasis added (mine).

Peter Wehner in the Atlantic explains the cognitive dissonance needed to still loyally follow Trump:

For most Republicans to acknowledge—to others and even to themselves—what Trump truly is and still stay loyal to him would create enormous cognitive dissonance. Their mind won’t allow them to go there; instead, they find ways to ease the inner conflict. And so they embrace conspiracy theories to support what they desperately want to believe—for example, that the election was stolen, or that the investigation into Russian ties to the 2016 Trump campaign was a “hoax,” or that Joe Biden has committed impeachable offenses. They indulge in whataboutism and catastrophism—the belief that society is on the edge of collapse—to justify their support for Trump. They have a burning psychological need to rationalize why, in this moment in history, the ends justify the means.
But it comes to Fascists, the ends never justify the means. The damage done to people who oppose dear leader far, FAR outweighs any benefits for the country in question. And this assumes there are benefits to a a second Trump admin.

Trump supporters are "pot committed" and if they let themselves realize who he really is, they will have a difficult time reconciling their support. So, as Wehner states, they justify their support in every and any way possible.

Yup!! Ole Pete said it so it must be the real deal.
Even though you don't think anything Ole Pete might have written in the speeches he helped write for Reagan and the Bush's had any validity at the time. Somehow because he derides Trump he is the voice to listen to now. You guys crack me up!

Some people are afraid that if Trump loses again, the insurrection won’t be “mostly peaceful.”

Reagan was an excellent communicator and had some fantastic speech writers. Reagan was also mostly pro-immigrant and his amnesty was the last time we did something positive towards our immigration issues. The only problem was the amnesty was a one-time deal, and didn't address anything in the future.

Not surprising you attack the messenger. Can't attack the message.

Beyond his ignorance about 'free government approved airwaves ...' Trump wants the government to 'come down hard' on media that criticizes him.
Seems a bit fascist, no? Or maybe just unamerican?

LOL at this thread. Trump was elected to drain the swamp. He did nothing of the sort. Rather, the swamp cracked down on him.

Further, if he does get back in he’ll hire some of the swamp creatures as he did in 2016.

Is that supposed to somehow refute his plans to use the government to crack down on his critics?
