I have honestly never understood why Turkey is in nato. They seem to endlessly choose to support the most evil side in every conflict.
The weather is apparently not done with Russia yet: tornadoes are forecast for the region today. Crimea has 100k people without power, and some without water. The storm has apparently dispersed minefields in the Black Sea, making navigation even more dangerous. Railways in coastal areas are reportedly damaged, and will hinder Russia's ability to re-supply troops. Tornadoes forecast in the Black Sea region as storm reportedly impacts Russian military operations
I get that they are in a key location but they seem to use the weapons nato sells them in a non productive manner.
Germany is facing a budget crisis that may affect its ability to continue supporting Ukraine. They have hard stops set up in their constitution to prevent deficit spending, and both Covid and Ukraine have been pushing up against those stops. Hopefully, they come to their senses and realize that additional support for Ukraine now means less defense spending needed in the future. I think that all of NATO should think this way, and decide that 1.5% defense spending could be made the rule instead of 2.0% (not that anyone in European NATO follows this defense spending rule) if Russia is militarily defeated. Why you should care about the budget crisis rocking Germany
This just in: Russia may not be able to continue conscripting troops to send into battle. The ethnic minorities are starting to get wise to Putin's plan to sacrifice them, and Russia's economy cannot afford to see another exodus of working age adults, much less pay to train them and pay the death benefit when their number is up. Russia's economy is described as being "in the toilet". I'm not an expert on toilet-based economies, but that does not sound good. Where is Russia's next wave of men coming from?
sucks to be a russian transcript and told to charge into that or get shot in the back. so much pointles sloss of life
between that and the NK shells not functioning or exploding int he chamber, tough time to be a artillery guy. guess it beats the infrantry harging head long into anti-aircraft gunners Don’t be concerned over one million artillery shells North Korea sent Russia, only 4% are in working condition – Dykyi (yahoo.com) The one million artillery shells that North Korea sent to Russia should not cause undue concern, former Aidar Battalion company commander Yevhen Dykyi told Radio NV on Nov. 3. Russia produces about 1.1 million shells a year, and North Korea has sent almost the same number to Russia, "but… one million European or American shells and one million North Korean shells, as they say in my beloved Odesa, are two very big differences [in quality]." North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un "decided to flex his muscles" and ordered 2,400 shells to be fired at a deserted island in 2020. "Of those 2,400 shells, only 400 reached the island. And of those 400, about 80 exploded. So now we take the quality of Korean production [into consideration], 4% of the shells fired actually exploded where they were supposed to. Now, we multiply one million by 4%, and we get what kind of real help comrade Un was able to give comrade Putin," Dykyi explained, suggesting that North Korea only provided Russia with about 40,000 working shells. Dykyi suggested that the Pyongyang instructors may have come along with the shells because "Russian artillerymen may simply be afraid to use these ‘masterpieces of the neighboring defense industr’y because it is not known how many of them exploded right in the guns.”
UAE, as a new member of BRICS, says that they will no longer sell oil in dollars. Major shift with KSA and others joining Brazil, Russia, China, India on the BRICS team
been watching this over the last 4 -6 weeks. Russia is pulling SAMS from across their territory to try and keep some semblance of air defense.
Being reported by Denys Davylov (Ukranian Podcaster) that Russian military spending will soon surpass all other social program spending combined. If true, just imagine a similar situation in the USA. Wow.
Congrats to the U.S. and NATO for turning Russia into a society fully on war footing with weapons factories humming.
I hope you never serve on a jury. I can see you arguing with the rest of the jury: "Congrats to the police and the innocent bystanders for turning the suspect into a homicidal maniac with guns blazing!" The depth of ignorance is truly astounding. Sometimes a person (or a country) has to be held accountable for their actions, and that's what the U.S. and NATO are doing to Russia. Invading another country without a valid reason is unacceptable to civilized people. "Nazis in Ukraine" is a joke of a reason, just like Putin is a joke of a world leader.
Russians not allowed to have their reasons because bad. They need to draw back their country to Perm because they’re too damn close to our military bases.
