Romney was the only Republican Senator who voted to convict Trump both times. I think it would have still been interesting to see who MAGA would have supported against him in the primary.

You are confusing being a loyal conservative with being a loyal Republican. These two need not be related at all.

That would have been fine, but I was referring to the other comment. And I think most true Conservatives would vote for which republican candidate over a liberal.
I think his willingness to vote for a Democrat over Trump does indicate that his allegiance to the Republican party has limits, but before we can additionally declare that Romney is no conservative, we would need to define what is a conservative. What exactly makes someone a conservative? And the conservative of TH now hate a guy they defended when he ran against Obama. How is that any different?

I don’t mean to defend the use of that moniker, but calling politicians names, an unfortunately common practice on here, isn’t quite the same as directly applying them to other posters on here. We’re all humans on here and prone to make mistakes.
