That wasn't the case for me, or even looking around the stadium observationally. It was still a majority Gators and by a sizeable margin. The worst part about their band, of course aside from the frequency/repetitiveness, is that they routinely just played over our band after we'd already started, and definitely kept playing after the snap on multiple occasions. The UAA should do something about it, if they insist on being d-bags.
I didn't say there were more of them there than Gators, I said I had never seen that many of them there and had never been surrounded by them..
That crappy ESPN network purposefully turned that (whore-chant) volume up for the TV views... they must like to induce puking...
I think it would be slightly less rude if the visiting band I dunno took turns with the other band playing their songs. And didn't play over the home team traditions. Maybe, just for FSU, the "Won't Back Down" thing should be at halftime when they are on the field performing.
Give them the Miami Gardens treatment for one game as a penalty for playing over WBD. My only other restriction for them would be to not let them bring more instruments in than we have ourselves. Why would we want the visiting team to have more band than we have? Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
Funny that you say that, I told the obnoxious football-illiterate FSU fan in front of me that I might projecting vomit on his shoulder and that he'd only have his band to blame
It sure sounded like ESPN had a mic right near their band all game. So much louder than our band over TV
I was there too and they didn't. It's a penalty if they do....UF staff would never have let that slide if it happened.
Some of you need to remember this is a COLLEGE, where 18 and 19 year olds reside. You’re daft if you expect professionalism out of literal kids. I’d still prefer the antics over a policy and regulation suppressed league, cleansed of any personality, like the one that plays on Sundays.
I had very bad thoughts about them when they did that. Does our band do that kind of stuff when they visit FSU?
Perhaps, but if you attended games and cheered, the band contributed to your cheering. Ya might even have garnered some enjoyment from it.
