Why do we let them in our stadium? Why do we let them play that Damn war chant song every 5 seconds? I have to hit the mute button when I watch our game with them. #$@% fsu.
Another oversight by the admin/staff. Handicapping our own team. Unacceptable. I don't recall hearing that shit blaring all game long in previous home matchups with the noles.
They still play it all game long whether there winning or losing. There not going to play it any less the next game if we beat them the previous game.
But it would probably bother you less if UF was consistently winning. Seems pretty silly to complain about an opposing band playing at a college football game.
ESPN might have had mics closer to their band. The FSU band was way louder on TV than ours. It's irritating on every play.
They play that crap every 5 seconds like the Vols play rocky top every five seconds. Annoying as hell.
What was more annoying is when we had the ball, they would play while we were lining up and Brown was calling signals. They would stop maybe a few seconds before the snap. That is illegal. My understanding is that the band has to stop before or as the offensive team lines up.
I noticed that and mentioned it in the game thread. I don’t remember that stupid song blaring as loudly in the swamp in previous years. I think ESPN wanted it to be heard.
The rules allow all the artificial noise to be there until the center is over the ball. EDIT: Artificial crowd noise, by conference policy or mutual consent of the institutions, is allowed. The noise level must be consistent throughout the game for both teams. However, all current rules remain in effect dealing with bands, music and other sounds. When the snap is imminent, the band/music must stop playing. They also played that chant during Won’t Back Down. Fortunately our crowd was loud enough to drown them out. Only one other band has done this: LSU
ESPN gonna do what they do but the Gator radio broadcast can do better. They should be able to get crowd noise without their band.
Lol, you better get your recall checked.....cause their band has been there every game of your lifetime. How exactly is this an oversight by the admin/staff? Opposing teams have a ticket allotment and if they choose to bring their band (which FSU has always done) then that's what it's going to be like. FYI, UF also takes their entire band to Tallahassee every game there.
The problem is we don't have a catchy tune that we could play after every snap to drown them out. All you hear all game long is that stupid warchant. To do it during Petty is sacrilegious and low class, so totally on brand for them.
