He was fired today as HC at Houston. What are everyone's thoughts on possibly hiring him as our OC? He's been mediocre as a HC, but as an OC his offenses have been quite good.

Is an nfl head coach often interested in becoming a college oc?

Gotcha. I don’t watch nfl or smaller colleges either so I had no idea.

Jeff Scott, belatedly. Not that Dana would not be a better choice but Napier seems to want "his guys" and I don't think he is one of them.

I’m not sure that he would be a great fit. I would totally be down for his style of offense though.

He would be a great OC... but the top OCs make about $2 million plus.

Holgorson has an exceptional mind for offensive football but everything I’ve read about him he’s a real kook off the field. Think a hillbilly Mike Leach. I think he operates better outside of bright spotlights and UF would be too bright for him.

I predict that if he isn't a certain thread is going to beat the Chip Kelly thread in number of posts.

Does BN need to do some things with the coaching staff to reassure a lot of people questioning him right now or wait and just stick to recruiting and portal? It’s kinda the chicken and egg question for me at this point. If he doesn’t do things now does he lose recruits or would he lose them anyway whether he did or didn’t make changes. Not to assume all he could do was lose recruits but not much positive coming out as of now. I don’t see hiring an OC hiring hurting recruiting unless said guy runs a scheme completely different than what someone like Lagway might be expecting. Just asking if he did make changes. He might not have any intentions to make any changes.

He’s too big school. They’re waiting to see how the South Dakota State guy does. He’s a friend of the former shipping coordinator of Akron now O Line Observer Specialist Thingy Guy.

It might be doable, it’s only 130 miles from Gainesville to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa.
