Sure, knocking someone's arm away from holding you is not 'backhanding' someone. Then claiming from that incorrectly described incident that we 'have a program full of scumbags'. You are just making things up which makes your opinion a joke.
1 - the Swamp Gas. boards are free 2- this is an opinion board and he is allowed to post his opinion 3- you are free to disagree but calling for another poster to be banned because you disagree is over the top imnsho 4- everyone starts at zero posts and nothing he posted is outside the rules that said - he was banned
Could I venture to say, (without seeing a replay) ,at the time he was in the heat of the moment. Where he was out on the field I’m not sure he knew it was a coach pulling on him.
I agree the refs should have thrown a flag on FSU for that play but the claim made was that Wilson could have drawn a flag for what he said. He obviously didn't say anything to the refs because I am sure they would flag him if he did. Thus there was no such danger and his anger was clearly not directed at the refs.
Agreed. Can't ever get physical like that with the coaching staff unless it's a self defense type situation... which that clearly wasn't.
Yep. No problem with his posting of his 'opinion'. Hopefully, also no problem pointing out the 'opinion' is a joke.
Disagree. I think he was likely yelling at the Nole(s) or the officials. Officials let the play go with no call so they were likely giving hime some leeway. If he hadn’t been held back momentarily, maybe he says even more and gets a flag. Or does something worse and gets ejected. There is absolutely no way to conclude he was never going to get a penalty, though.
There is also no way to conclude he was about to get a penalty either. The only empirical evidence we have was him yelling in the direction of someone other than the three officials who were all right there and not a one of them even gave him a glance. I already said he might have been yelling at a 'Nole so hopefully we can keep that common ground.
Of course. But you can’t argue against the null hypothesis. If he wasn’t going to get a penalty, then the coach holding him back was meaningless and can be forgotten. If there was any chance of getting a penalty, the coach did the right thing.
Coach could have easily have been holding him back because of what he thought he was going to say or do. We don't know. Shouldn't be making assumptions either way. All we have is the clip. No way to tell what he was saying. The thing we do know is what he was saying was not bothering the refs.. Thus it shouldn't be assumed he would be penalized for it.
He got the business like Knowshon and wasn't happy about it. Didn't get a penalty and no one got hurt. Complete none issue.
Football has changed. Spikes ground his mask into Moreno and Auburn’s Nick Fairley blooded Jake Fromm doing the same.
