I was quoting a liberal poster on this board who cited their 2.5 star rating. Your issue is with them.
Lol.. don't mind Tilly, he's an old school Grand Ole Party guy that forgot that the Pubs are now just part of the Uni-Party... NWO RINOs at best... commies sympathizers at worst. He hates Trump too.
Their most recent rating from Yelp was 3.5 stars and it's rather odd that they received a relatively large number of one star ratings in contrast to the number of large number of five ratings. As I mentioned in a previous post after the Huckabee Sanders story broke both their total ratings and one star ratings increased significantly. https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-red-hen-lexington-3
Whether I agree or not I respect them for standing up for what they thought was the proper thing to do. It probably cost them some conservative customers and an increase in bad reviews. I would have stopped eating there if I were a customer. People make the beds they have to sleep in.
The only thing that changed is I hate Trump. You guys like to toss the labels around, not me. As for THIS thread, no restaurant closed 5 years after the fact for such a minor reason. And the OP certainly has no evidence that 8t did. You know that Rick. Be fair here. And just so we are clear, I left the GOP because they are just part of the uniparty, so not sure what you mean.
Anyone giving a business bad reviews without eating there is a loser and the worst type of Karen in my opinion. You dont sabotage livelihoods over a petty political hurt.
This hardly needs any attention given to the possibility of what they did 5 years ago caused their closing. It's quite simple why this restaurant closed!!!!! BIDENOMICS!!
instead of sabotaging those you don’t agree with, throw them in jail. That seems to be the Biden way.
I mean that is abhorrently wrong too, as was the attempt to ruin the baker in Colorado...but that doesn't make sabotaging this business ok by someone that has never eaten there.
my comment was tongue and cheek to show the dichotomy between Pubs and Dems. I don’t advocate any of this crap, as it is childish and, as you correctly point out, people who own businesses are permitted to have opinions too, and if you disagree you are permitted to shop elsewhere. you and I are on the same page.
Fine. Dont eat there. But posting false reviews is a Karen move and it seems that may have been the case.
keep in mind, typically, when people go all out ballistic on yelp to review restaurants who have taken a political position, both sides are represented. You will have many people who have never eaten there giving one star reviews as well as five star reviews. This is why restaurants should not knowingly take political positions. The baker out in Colorado has taken a religious position, which also happens to be political. The woman who owns the restaurant in the OP took a purely political position.
