I'd take a run at Dabo. He could probably keep our current recruiting class intact and do very well recruiting the state of Florida. He, at least, shows some fire on the sidelines and his players mimic him. Yes, he had a bad year this year but that's like one out of the last ten or twelve.
He would be a monster pick up and show that we are making major strides for the future. Does anybody know if he’s an early enrollee?
Agree, 100% no matter what anybody says. We have to win seven regular season games next year, at least… With what Billy should do in the portal we should be slated to win possibly eight. I know that is expecting a lot based on what we have seen with our portal work, but Billy is in a Mike Norvell type of situation and Has to come through in the portal.
Dabo is a very good coach ( numbers clearly show that) and I love what you said with regards to… At least he shows some fire on the sidelines and his players mimic him. It is true, his players really love him and love that he is so invested. That fire and emotion from the leader is important. Spurrier’s fire made him loved by players.
Dabo to A&M would be the end of Clemson as a power setting up FSU with no competition in their entire schedule every year.
Would love for them to continue to be forced to go undefeated every year in order for a playoff chance….even with 8 spots. If Clemson falls they will have the easiest schedule every year and the playoff committee will laugh in their face. Then FSU and the ACC fued begins
Next years schedule. Miami Samford UCF Georgia FSU Kentucky LSU Ole Miss Texas A&M Mississippi State Tennessee Texas Where does anybody see 6 to 8 wins with that schedule?
Let’s see how the coaching carousel and transfer portal play out, but schedule not as daunting as first thought. Miami - home Samford - win UCF - potential new coach, new QB, home Georgia FSU - new QB Kentucky - new QB, home LSU - new QB, home Ole Miss - home Texas A&M - new coach, home Mississippi State - new coach, new QB Tennessee Texas
I would tend to agree with your thinking if it was just play calling. It's not. It's toughness, discipline, execution, and leadership; especially from the top. BN may end up being a great coach. However, at this point, he is mediocre at best. His "analytic" and low key style is not translating to wins. He's going to have to really show his stuff next year and with the schedule that is ahead, it's going to be tough. His process needs to produce results.
