Too early to tell. As I posted elsewhere, we're likely going to lose about 15-20 transfers again...and that only leaves room for about 8 incoming transfers, depending on who we take from HS.

We're in an era where starters transfer, so it's just too soon to know what the depth chart looks like right now.

What I do know is that we must crush the transfer portal this off season, or we're simply losing Sophomores/Juniors and replacing them with incoming HS players. At some point, that just won't cut it, and that point is now in my opinion.

As long as nobody that Napier brought in leaves, I’m fine with literally everybody else leaving. The old regimes recruits have absolutely sh*t the bed. I know kimber and hill are leaving, hopefully 3 too. Completely new secondary next year - addition by subtraction.

I wish I could pick the portal, especially who leaves.

December will be a good barometer on how many of the players on the current rooster have bought in or not bought in on Napier.

At this time I am not aware of anyone entering-exiting the team via the portal.
We should see some action there soon.
Hopefully it will just a few leaving and many coming in.

Same can be said about the recruiting class of 2024.
As of this morning the Gators have 19 commitments with a national ranking of 12.
National signing day will tell us how good of a job Napier is doing on recruiting.
We may lose some, but hopefully, we will gain more than we loose and get a higher ranking.

I hear you at a high level, but if those 2 leave and Marshall goes pro....then we're left with Moore and the 4 true freshmen (1 of which played a decent amount, and #4 played a bit yesterday for the fruit time) at CB. In other words, we need some portal help here or we'll never thrive with next years schedule.

Same thing with the OL...we're toast there again if we don't get portal help, and that's before knowing who is officially leaving. If Mazz and Eguakun officially leave, then we're in a real bad place across the OL.

Lastly...We don't have any bonafide All SEC guys, so I can't point the finger at Mullen's recruiting. BN's guys haven't exactly lit it up either.

"A few leaving and many coming in" is a mathematical impossibility:

Roster Turnover - one more purge coming

BNs guys are literally all of the bright spots we have seen, just very young.

Yeah regarding your comments to the secondary - you still just described addition by subtraction. Moore is a dog, just depends if he can stay healthy. We probably add a portal guy. Let the youngings get reps, definitely not worse than 8&3 all year. 23 was actually decent but I think he’s finally out of eligibility

Jaydon Hill has played at a really high level this year. He is one of the few highlights on a bad defense. He of course had a critical penalty on his very last play of the year. I don't think that negates all the good he's done for the D.

    On D:
    Boone
    McClellan
    Jackson
    Sapp
    James LB
    Wingo LB or Graham/Hayes/Chiles
Denson Star - I think Hill is gone
Jackson CB - assumes Marshall is gone
    Castell Safety
    Mitchell or Filsaime Safety
    Moore CB

Just my thoughts. Bigger key is the depth we will have and a lot less true freshman playing next year.

O seems a little more complicated because I believe we need a complete overhaul and a new starting five OL. Probably not realistic but I feel like it’s needed.

    O
    Mertz
    ETN/Johnson
    Wislon
    Douglas/Jean or transfer
    Jackson/or transfer/true fresh
PLEASE BRING IN A NEW OLINE - ALL 5 SPOTS ARE OPEN COMPETITION INCLUDING TO TRUE FRESHMAN.
    Boardingham
    Hanson

    ST:
    Long snapper wasn’t great
Have to find a new kicker!!!!!!
    Crawshaw

I really like the skill position players on O and think we bring in a portal receiver and a true fresh who can make plays ala Wilson this year.

Nobody really knows, but I wouldn’t be shocked if I got 60% of the D right and only 45%-50% of the offense. The other projections should be who will be the OC next year and handle Special Teams. Give Napes 1 job, CEO of the team, keep the loaded recruits together, plug in 2 day 1 tackles from the portal (yes I’m dreaming), find a Pearsall type in the portal, need a day 1 starting LB from a power 5 school from the portal, get Lagway ready for some snaps ala Tebow/Leak and find a KICKER!!!!!!

When building the depth chart for field goal attempts on defense, do we stick to 10 players or should we up it to 11?

O line comments - we have guards playing tackle. That’s all. 76/75 would be much better at guard. We need tackles bad- ofc they’re the hardest to find though.

target in TP- CB, WR#1, LT/RT, edge, LB. Also must close on seaton and get him here asap.

100% agree about the tackles being guards. They would be ones at that!

I would try to add a CB like FSU did last year but not force it.

I need to see Mertz as our starting QB. ETN needs to be RB1 all year. And finally I need 76 off the starting Oline and Mitchell to enter the portal

Mitchell (assuming you mean the LB) is a senior, George moved to guard….the rest should happen

Etienne is going to need to spend the offseason blocking. It’s holding him back here and won’t fly at all on Sundays.
